...SEQUEL CHASING BROKEN DESIRES...
Today is my day. Today is the day that fairytales are made of. Today is the day that dreams are made of. I have been planning for this day for months. I have dreamt of this day for weeks. Today is a new beginning. Today is the beginning of the rest of my life.
Today is my wedding day.
I have just broken away from the reception to come to the ladies; that is when I hear a familiar voice behind me.
“I never took you for a lipstick girl.”
“Luke!”
“Hi, Jenna. It is really nice to see you again; it is really nice.”
“What are you doing here? You are not allowed to be here.”
“I can be where ever I want. Your husband cannot stop me.”
“What do you want?”
“That is a stupid question, Jenna.”
“Well, you can't have me.”
“I can have whatever I want.”
“Just leave Luke.”
“Not without you, Jenna.”
“Tyler will come to look for me.”
“He is a bit occupied at the moment.”
“You are coming with me whether you like it or not.”
“I am not.”
“I am not asking you, Jenna; I am telling you.”
Next thing Luke has a cloth over my mouth.
Everything becomes dark.
My eyes are blindfolded, my hands and feet tied up. I seem to be locked in what appears the boot of a car. Between the ringing in my ears and my pounding head, I can hear the faint sound of two voices. But the sounds coming from the music player is unmistakable.
“Oops, I did it again.”
Then it rushes over me like a wave.
Luke…The monster finally has me.
…Tyler POV…
“Sandra, please will you check why Jenna is taking so long?”
“Where is she?”
“She went to the ladies.”
I patiently wait for Sandra to return, “Tyler, she is not there.”
“She went there five minutes ago.”
“I did not see her come out.”
“Maybe she went out the back?”
I make my way to the back door, but it is locked; she surely did not leave through here. Could someone have locked it behind her?
“It's locked.”
“I saw Clara there a few minutes ago.”
“Where is the bitch?”
“She left.”
“Sandra, did you see Luke here tonight?”
“No, but I saw him at the ceremony.”
“Fuck, why did you not tell me.”
“I thought Jenna invited him?”
“He is not allowed to come near her.”
“Fuck Tyler, I am sorry, I did not know.”
I continue looking inside and outside the pub for her, but I cannot find her, she is nowhere. It's like she just completely disappeared.
“Sandra, please come with me to Clara's.”
We head over to Clara's; it's completely dark, there are no lights on, it appears that there is nobody home.
“I am starting to get a bad feeling about this.”
“Is she armed?”
“No, she refused to put it under her dress.”
“Fuck Tyler, do you think he has her?”
“I will fucking kill him if he has.”
“What do we do now?”
“You are going to stay here if she comes back. I am going to Luke.”
“Please take someone with.”
“He is a fucking lunatic; I don't want to put anybody in danger.”
Then from behind me, I hear Nathan speak, “I will come with you.”
“Nathan, you on probation. I can't give you a gun.”
“I got my fists.”
“Sandra, phone me if you hear from her.
“Tyler, let's go.”
This is a god damn three-hour drive. Anything can happen in three hours. The sight of him touching her makes my blood boil over and over. I don't know what he is capable of, but it sure as hell is nothing good.
“Does he for sure have her?”
“He is the only sick fuck that would take her.”
“Do you think that he would hurt her?”
“I don't want to think of what he will do to her.”
…Jenna POV…
The car finally comes to a stop.
I am blindfolded, but I know exactly who it is; I just don't know where I am. There is someone else with him though, they have not spoken, but I sense it is probably someone that I know.
He finally takes me out of the boot. He takes me out soft and gently. The touch of the man I used to love is still there, but I am not so sure about his heart. His head, I know, is definitely screwed up, though. How can a man so loving and caring turn into this?
He leads me down what seems to be a gravel road, then down a set of stairs. Why the hell is he going to lock me up in a basement, there is nowhere I can go. You do not lock someone up under the god damn floor and claim that you love them.
He slowly takes my blindfold off.
“Hey, Jenna.”
“What the fuck are you doing, Luke?”
“I told you I would do anything to make you mine.”
“So you kidnap and lock me in a damn basement.”
“I don't want you to run away again.”
“Where the fuck am I going to run to? I don't know where I even am.”
“I can't let you leave me again.”
“So, are you going to keep me in here forever?”
“If I have to, I will.”
“Tyler will come looking for me.”
“He will never find you; no one will.”
“You are fucking crazy. What happened to the Luke, I know.”
“He got tired of you running back to that asshole.”
“Me and that asshole are married. You can't have me anymore.”
“Not if something unfortunate happens to him.”
“You are really fucking crazy.”
He takes my hands and ties me up to a pole.
“I need to go to the station before he shows up. I don't want him thinking that something is wrong.”
“He probably already is, you damn psycho.”
With that, he leaves the basement and locks it behind him, leaving me tied to that pole.
This is fucking fantastic. I should have known that playing around with someone's feelings will come back and bite me in the ass.
…Tyler's POV…
“Nathan, can this damn car not go any faster.”
“I am going as fast as I can, Tyler.”
“Who knows if that filthy prick has his hands on her.”
“Where would he even keep her? Surely not at his place.”
“He is crazy but not completely stupid.”
“Why the hell did he do this?”
“She made a mistake and briefly got involved with him.”
“But weren't you guys always involved?”
“We went through a rough patch for a bit.”
“What are you going to do when you get there?”
“Break his fucking jaw.”
“Don't you think we should rather sit and watch what he does?”
“I want to break his bones first.”
We are nearly there, and I have no idea what to expect. I don't know if it is him that took her, but there is no one as sick to do this. I am going to remain as calm as I can, but I don't think that is going to happen.
The car has barely come to a stop, and I am already jumping out.
I find him sitting behind his desk, just staring in my direction. There is not a man there anymore; there is just a monster, “To what do I owe the pleasure? Should you not be at your wedding reception?”
“Where is she, Luke?”
“Where is who?”
“Jenna.”
“She should be with you.”
“Don't fucking play games with me. I know you have her.”
“Why would I have your wife, Tyler?”
“Cause you are a crazy lunatic.”
“Did you lose Jenna again? How many times has it been now.”
“Don't get fucking clever with me.”
“I don't have your crazy ass slutty wife.”
That is it; I have had enough of him. I walk around the table to where he is sitting and pull him up by his collar. He does not seem to be the least bit surprised; it is like he was expecting it.
“Where is my wife?”
“I told you that I don't know.”
I retract my arm and ball my hand into a fist. I do not give him a moment to react. I smash my fist into the bridge of his nose; his face snaps to the side, and something cracks. “Where is my wife?”
“I told you I don't know.”
I retract my arm again; this time, my fist slams square against his jaw. Again his face snaps.
“Where is my wife?”
“Don't you listen, I don't know.”
I continue to pound into his face; his nose is bleeding, his lip is split. Just as I try to throw my next punch, Nathan grabs me by my arm.
“Tyler, you going to kill him.”
“That is the whole point, Nathan.”
Then Nathan steps forward.
“Luke, where is Jenna?”
“Who the fuck are you?”
“Someone that is not afraid to kick your ass until you can't walk. I don't mind going back; I will do anything to find Jenna.”
“Are you also one of her boy toys that she has fucked and dumped too?”
“You are going to wish you never said that.”
What Luke does not know is that Nathan used to be a heavy-weight boxer that got into a bit of trouble and has spent the past five years in jail.
Nathan hits him with an uppercut, throwing him off balance. He throws again, Luke start stumbling backward. Just before he completely drops, Nathan jabs him one more time and knocks him out down to a pile of shit to the floor.
“Fuck Nathan, how do we get him to talk now?”
“I will tie him up to the chair while you go search his house.”
“If I am not back by the time he wakes up.”
“I will knock him out again.”
I leave Nathan with Luke and head out to go search his house.
If I were Luke which thank fuck I am not, I would probably hide her in some sort of abasement.
As soon as I get to his house, the first thing I look for is the very thing, a basement. But he does not have one. Next, I start to search his house. None of the rooms are locked up to keep somebody in. There is no sign of her in here anywhere.
“What the fuck do I do now? Where will the sick fuck keep her?”
Just then, I hear a scuffle in the kitchen.
As I turn the corner to enter the kitchen, I am surprised to see the person facing back at me.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”
...Tyler POV... I am in Luke's house frantically looking for Jenna; he does not have a basement, and she's in none of the rooms. With every door I open and close, my heart sinks even more, but I am not about to give up; I have to find her; she must be here in this godforsaken town. That is when I hear a scuffle in the kitchen; with my gun drawn, I slowly make it around the corner. “What the fuck are you doing here?” “Hello, Tyler.” “Yes, Sarah. What the fuck are you doing here?” “Just visiting an old friend.” “Do not lie to me.” “You know me well enough to know I am not lying.” “Bullshit, you have always been a bad liar.” “I was passing through, and I thought I would pop in to say hello.” “You still a bad liar. It's convenient that you appear in town just as my wife disappears.” “Don't tell me you already lost your wife?” “Do not get clever with me; where is she?” “You see
...Tyler POV... We on our way to the Sheriff in the next town; they owe me a favor; I am hoping they can give me a search warrant for Luke’s town. As we drive away, I look back to see if that asshole leaves town on his way to Jenna, perhaps, but no such luck. For someone that has no common sense at the moment, he is surely keeping her hidden quite well. I will not rest today or tomorrow, or even the next days after that, until I find my wife. He will slip up, I am going to find her, and when I do, he is going to pay for it; I am not sure how or what, but he will regret the day he ever laid a hand on her. “Are you okay there, Tyler?” Nathan looks over at me, rather concerned. “I am going off my goddamn mind.” “We will find her.” “I am just scared that we might be too late.” “He wants her; he won’t hurt her.” “It’s what else he would do to her that worries me the most.” “Don’t think like that, man.” There
…Jenna POV…Being stuck in a hole in the ground makes you think, think about a lot of things. Especially the things that you could have done differently in your life. Regret is a big word, and to say that you regret something is even a bigger thing to say. In my little hole here, I am thinking of how I could have regretted something differently.Every bad reaction has an even worse chain reaction if you think about it this way if the lazy ass cat dies, who is going to kill the dirty annoying mouse. Same as for a relationship, if you break something that needs no fixing and looks for fixing somewhere else, you are bound the create a bigger problem than what you started with. You end up creating a monster. You end up with this bad reaction that your chain reaction caused.Luke that has been watching me intently, finally speaks, “What are you thinking so hard about gorgeous?”“Can I ask you a question?”
I am startled awake by a loud thud at the door, followed by the yanking of the chains. I hear the chain being dropped to the floor, not being locked again as always before; I can hear the district sound of something being dragged along the floorI am struck with fear; what has he come back for so early again tonightAs he turns the corner, I am horrified with the sight of what he has been dragging behind him.“Tyler!” I look at Luke look in horror, “What have you done to him?”“Relax, he is still alive.”“What did you do to him?” I ask Luke again“I had to knock his snooping ass out. What a lovely reunion this is going to be.”“I told you he would find me.”“Yes, he did but without backup. Both of you are stuck here now.”
God no!What do I do?That is a fucking stupid question.Get your shit off the fucking floor, Jenna, and save your husband.“Hey fuck head.” Luke turns to me as I call for his attention. “I suggest you drop that gun.”He bursts out in a rumble of laughter, “God, if this were not, so such a fucked up the mess, I would say that is fucken hot.”My body stiffens as I cringe at hearing his words, “You a sick fuck.”“What happened to monster?” His rumble becomes even scarier than before. But I am not about to back down, “Just drop the god damn gun.”“Baby,” he but only give me some wicked smile on his face. “By the time you get that safety off, I would have blown his brains all over the pole.”&n
Tyler has just taken a life, Luke’s crazy rampage has come to an end. His hand is wrapped around my shoulder as we walk back to his truck. Not a word is being spoken; how does something like this affect someone, how does taking a life affect your own. What is this going to do to the man next to me, the man that I love, the man that has just paid the ultimate sacrifice to save my life? A situation that was created by me that turned a friend into a monster.I am scared I lose Tyler, not him itself, but his mind; right now, he shows no feeling or remorse, will he, in time, start losing himself.I don’t know what to say to him, but I have to say something; the silence drives me insane. I need to know if he is okay if he is going to be okay, “Baby.”He briefly turns his head and looks at me, “Yes, baby.”Without trying to sound with too much desperation in my voice, I s
The drive to the ranch is quiet; Tyler has been staring out the window most of the time. I tried speaking, but it is like my words are falling on death ears. I can feel the heaviness hanging in the air, pain radiating from his body. Before we reach the city, I need to stop for gas, the very same gas station I have been stopping every time I make this trip. As I come to the store clerk to pay, he immediately recognizes my face. There is a slight smile filled with confusion playing in his eyes, “Don’t tell me your dream fell through again.” I look on over to the truck, and the attendant follows my eyed, “My dream is in that truck.” I pause for a moment and turn to look at the clerk again, “His body is there, but his mind is gone.” “Well,” he starts, and there is genuine concern in his voice, “Whatever happened, I am sure time will heal his wounds.” I only but give h
It's been two weeks; the nightmares are not getting any better; I don't see him at all during the days, I spent my nights awake watching over him and crying for him. It should be the happiest part of our marriage, but it's not; he is going through something awful that I can't even begin to understand.I need to talk to him. There is something I need to tell him.I find him out by the stables.“Hey, baby.” I hand him a cup of hot coffee.I reach out to give it to him, and I cannot help but noticed how his hands are shaking. “Thank you.” He only but mumbles from underneath his breath.I move a little bit close to him and sit down on the bench next to him, “Baby, we need to talk.”“Jenna, I am not in the mood for you telling me how you don't understand and how you want to help me.”
