Chapter 12

Violet's pov 

I was roaming around the place when suddenly a loud growl caught my attention, making me turn around to face a giant wolf growling angrily looking at me. 

Oh no! I am in big trouble! What should I do now? I do not have my sword with me here that I will protect myself but even with the sword can I protect myself? 

My feet froze in its place in fear. I need to do something to save myself. What should I do? I should run! Yes I will run away from this wolf. 

Without wasting a single moment I sprinted towards the opposite side but the wolf was running behind me as well. I pushed myself more but soon found myself tackled down on the ground with that wolf on top of my body. 

I closed my eyes in fear as the wolf was on top of me and would attack me any moment. 

"Leave her pet!" a loud voice rang and I felt the wolf going away from me making me sigh in relief 

"Life lesson never ever run from a wolf he will chase you and hunt you for sure. That is their first instinct and animals follow their instincts to survive." The same voice said and I opened my eyes to only get collided with a pair of coffee brown eyes staring at my own. 

His eyes are so beautiful and it felt so familiar for some reason. Like I know this pair of eyes from so long in my life. His facial structure is so good as well. Sharp jawline, pink lips, light stubble everything is making him more attractive and something which I can not point out. I felt a pull towards this unknown stranger man. I do not know why. 

That man forwarded his hand for me to help and without wasting time I gave him my hand to pull me up. 

"Who are you Lady and what are you doing here at this hour?" that man asked whose face has stopped my breathing completely 

I never saw a man like him so handsome and tall. In my life I have met a very limited number of people and hardly 5 to 6 males who are officials in the court room. 

I have read in books that prince's look this good and by his attire I am sure he is some prince or king. 

"Hello?" he snapped his finger In front my face and I came out of my dream land 

"Yes?"I asked as I did not heard anything he asked me or told me 

"I asked you something lady. Who are you and what are you doing here?" he asked narrowing his eyes at me and I bite my lips in embarrassment 

What a way to interact for the first time with a man. Great Violet Maxwell! I cursed myself inwardly

"I am Violet Maxwell, and I don't know how I came here. I was in my room in front of the painting of this place which I painted but then I was here alone. Can you help me out? I want to return to my room." I asked the man and took my hand back from his own 

He seemed to be shocked as well that he was holding my hand till now for some reason it did not feel bad that he was holding my hand. What is happening to me? What are these new feelings? 

"Your story is not good enough to be trusted lady. Why should I trust you? What is the proof that you are not lying?" he asked me and I got offended. Can he not see that I am a princess? Why will I lie to him? Princesses do not lie that is taught to us. 

"What are you doing here first tell me then I will give you proof and how did you talk to that wolf? He left me because you asked him to" I asked him 

"This place is something which is strictly for immortals not mortals like you. That wolf is my pet. He attacked you because he thought you were a danger. I stopped him because I felt like you can not be a threat in any way." He said and I looked at him with my mouth hung open 

What does he mean by immortal? Immortal as in the ones who do not die? That means he is not a human? What is he then? I have heard about immortals but never met one in real life. 

"You are an immortal?" I asked him and he nodded 

"Oh my goodness! What are you?" I asked him excitedly 

What? When you first meet someone or see something, will you not feel excited? Of Course you will. 

"Do I look like some entertainment thing? Why are you so excited?" he asked narrowing his eyes 

"Actually I never met any immortals before. I never went out of the castle either so I could not help myself. I am really sorry if I hurt you in any way." I apologised immediately 

Hurting him was not my intention at all. 

"So you are the infamous princess of Dune kingdom are not you?" he asked and I looked at him shocked 

How does he know that I am a princess and that too of my kingdom? Is my kingdom that famous? 

"It does not matter how I know what matters is you are the princess. Yes your kingdom is very famous, why will it not be? This kingdom has a caged princess and everyone knows about it. So tell me princess how did you come here leaving your castle and ditching all the security forces? I bet you must be surrounded with soldiers all the time." He said and I again felt sad at the mention of my caged life 

Everyone outside knows about me but I do not know anything or anyone. 

"I told you right, I do not know. It just happened on its own." I replied him 

"The way you came here is the same way to leave as well. Focus on the process and you will be able to find your way back to your castle. Anyways this place is dangerous for mortals. There are hungry animals roaming around to hunt and feed themselves." He said making me scared 

"What? I need to think please do not leave me alone here. I do not want to die." I pleaded in front or the handsome stranger 

"Leaving a girl alone at this hour in a place like this is not something the king of Dreivina kingdom will do. I am Dominic Mason princess Violet the vampire King of Dreivina kingdom." King Dominic said and I mumbled his name as well to hear how it sounds from my mouth. 

It rolled out perfectly out of my tongue. His name suits his personality completely complimenting the dangerous aura he has around him. 

"Princess, did you think?" he asked and I cleared my throat I did not think about it but when I tried to remember I got it how I came here 

"I teleported here, that's what I was told. Maybe it can help me to go back as well. Let me try!" I said and closed my eyes imagining myself inside my room and when I opened my eyes I was in my room blossom was there as well 

Before she could ask anything I again teleported myself to Avalonia. 

"Why did you come back? Did you reach the wrong place?" King Dominic asked me 

"No, I reached the correct place. I came here to say thank you for saving my life, king Dominic Mason. If it was not you I would not have been able to go back or save myself. How can I Meet you if I want to meet?" I asked him the last part was a mistake 

I should not have asked that to him. Why will he even meet me again? 

"I come here every weekend at night. If you wish to meet me come here and call my name I will be in front of you and yes from next time use a weapon for your protection. Bye princess, go back now." King Dominic said and I nodded at his words 

"Bye king Dominic." I said and teleported myself back in my room to find the door of my room being knocked loudly.
