Reignile problems are building up and the Alpha Queen is beginning to feel the weight. Meanwhile the second Seer is here! See yA!
{Ciril’s POV} We had left the eatery and were on our wandering journey again, but this time, we had an elder in our midst. The Seer from The East.Just like I was hooded, the Seer was hooded, and when I had asked him why, he had made it known that he was also being hunted by the Alpha Queen. But then he didn’t tell us why she was hunting him down.I had also been asking him when I would be able to return to the Palace since Rowan had said that his arrival would mark the time for my return, but then the Seer hasn’t responded to that question. He’s been rudely dismissive and quiet about it.Now, we closed in on the borders of the Western Reigns. I didn’t know why we had left the north to go to the west because the Seer was the one leading the way.I recalled Rowan to have told me about three Seers— himself being one of them and the remaining two to be known afterwards. The Seer from the East was undoubtedly one of them so it was destiny that he was leading us to the West— but then dest
{Prince Landon's POV} The Reigns was falling into disarray and my Mother was doing little or nothing about it. She refused to send warriors to the South to help them over there as she now claims that saving the West is a lost cause. And to make matters worse, she has now made me powerless. I was the Alpha Prince but then I didn’t feel like that anymore. I didn’t feel like royalty anymore… and it was all due to the fact that my mother had instructed the warriors to seize me and bound me in chains on the day that I had been trying to stop the hordes of warriors from going after Ciril. Apparently, I had lost my potency that day, and in addition to the gloom, Dylan was dead. Scouts that had been sent to RawHowl to gather reports and look for our men— as my mother didn’t believe that Ciril had killed them all— those Scouts had come back with the news of a massacre. And with news of Dylan’s body found among the gory mess….But in all, My mother forced herself to believe that Ciril was
{Ciril’s POV} Before my very eyes, the dead had risen. I was aware they used to rise before after being bit by a Feral but then seeing them rise in such huge numbers was shock and dread on a different level. And to add even more dread to it, there had been that man-best creature using dark powers to raise them up from their demise and rot.Turns out there was an update— people didn’t need to be bitten by Ferals anymore to be able to rise from the dead. That beastly Creature, whatever it is, could raise them up now, and so in that moment when it had happened, I was forced to realize that the dead had become an enemy. All those mothers, sons, and daughters I once pitied were made to become monsters before my eyes— and the most painful part was that I was forced to fight them. They had attacked us upon their rise and I was forced to kill these once innocent and resting souls.I had gone into the Superior State to do this… but then I had lost the battle.I had thought that since I cou
{Ciril’s POV} And so, with sublime anticipation and creed, I began my training… which was meditating.Crazy right?Of course, it’s crazy. Why should I be meditating when I can be doing other things that would help refine my skills? And even more seriously, what’s the fucking point?Gordius had said that I would also have the power to heal people of life-threatening wounds if meditated but never have heard that such abilities could be gained by sitting on grass all day. I should be sharpening my skills with intense training but instead, it felt like I was making them grow dull as I was basically sitting on my ass all day every day since we started. The most annoying part was that Gordius didn’t give a fuck about my concerns. I had complained to him a couple of times to communicate to him how closing my eyes and sitting my ass on grass with my legs folded wasn’t helping me achieve anything but he didn’t care to respond to my complaints. All he did was command me to meditate and then
Chapter 142{Ciril’s POV} I didn’t understand what had just happened. One second, I was raging at Gordius for chewing loudly, and then the next, I was shocked from spotting a figure that bore an oddly familiar face. Anika.I didn’t know where she had appeared from and I didn’t know how she had found me, but then these questions weren’t important now. Anika was wounded and unconscious and so the question bobbing in my head as I rushed towards her was, “What I was going to do?”I crashed on the ground beside her body and drew her into my embrace with my heart now racing fast. I didn’t know the answer to my question.I didn’t know what to do. I first had to accept the fact that she was truly here with me and once this fact had settled in, I started to shake her up roughly and call her name.— and while I did this, Gordius was just standing behind me and doing nothing. I noticed this. “What are you doing?!” I bawled at him now. “She’s dying! Go get help!” I roared at him as tears gl
{Ciril’s POV} “Ciril, is that you?”I heard Anika’s voice and almost couldn’t believe it was her voice. It had been so long since I heard her speak. All of us were shocked by her sudden consciousness as we had really lost all hope. I had already lost hope.— all of us had lost hope except Gordius. He didn’t look shocked, and this was because he had trusted his words to the final minute, unlike the rest of us. The rest of us stopped believing him when hours were slipping past and Anika wasn’t responding. But then again, you can’t blame us for not buying his words. I personally had a beef with him and feel like he just says anything he wants to say. I focused my attention on Anika now as she slowly grew back her consciousness.“It’s me, Anika. I’m.. I’m here.” I told her softly now and she blinked before thoroughly focusing her gaze on me.With our eye contact, the roles switched— as she was the one who looked shocked now. She gazed at my face for a while and I noticed that she was
{Ciril’s POV}“Take your dress off and lie on the plank!” The tall and scruffy-looking He-wolf standing before me throated. He was standing before me with a trench knife in his hand and his goal was to imprint his name— or any other vile word he could think of, on my back using the knife.I didn’t even know the bloke’s name but I knew he was one of the natives of RawHowl Pack— the same Pack I have been imprisoned in for twenty freaking years!True story, but I digress.I took my teary eyes off the blood-stained blade and rested it on the other person in the room. The devil herself.“Ivanka, please forgive my mistake. I promise I will mind my business and won’t spy on you ever again.” I pleaded while my tears made their escape, abandoning me in this unfortunate situation.Ivanka grew a satisfied grin as she folded her arms under her breasts. “Forgive you? Where’s the fun in that?” She said. “You want to know what will be fun?” She smiled scornfully now and replied to her rhetorical qu
{Ciril’s POV}For some reason, I was very thankful for yesterday’s turnout. For strange reasons, Rufus didn’t return and Ivanka had grown tired of waiting so she had dismissed me after dumping on me a couple of frustrated slaps and kicks. She postponed my ‘full punishment’ to today. So today, I locked myself in my room in hiding. I couldn’t go out for fear of being seen by Ivanka.Maybe if she didn’t see me, she would forget about me and her quest to punish me.I lived in a crumbling room on the third floor of the Alpha Mansion and my room was shabby enough for living in the forest to be better than it.You would think that of all the houses in RawHowl Pack, I was graced to be staying in the Alpha Mansion. But then, there was really no grace to it. I was only there because Alpha Gregor— the devilish Alpha of RawHowl Pack, his Luna, Dolores, and the rest of their miscreant family wanted to have me very close in case they needed someone to pour out all their hatred on.I was on my bed n

{Landon’s POV} Two news was all it took to make my mother go completely silent. It was expected since the two news were two heavy news. But then for me, it was different. On my right-hand side was a dead warrior who had spilled blood out also good news before he died. — Ciril was alive.I didn’t understand how, but then I was grateful for the fact that she still survived. And then on my leftward area was this General who was perfectly alive and had presented us with grave news. It was disturbing knowledge and I found myself already trembling at the reality of it. The Ferals had taken over the Southern Reigns and now, they were threatening to do the same to the West.— they were threatening to take our home from us. And about months ago, their attempt didn’t seem possible in the slightest but now, it was becoming a dreadful reality. Our people were dying… and being turned into monsters that attacked the survival of the rest. What worse fate could there be?This situation was thre
{Ciril’s POV} I was chained… and a Palace guard strolled towards me now to release me from those chains. But then before this, I had shed blood.… but not my blood. My mother, after receiving reports about Ciril, had thrown everything she could at her, sending about three hundred men to bring down just one female— to kill her.It was a crazy attempt, one that I was not in support of— and because of this, a fight had broken out. I had stood in the warriors’ path just as they were about to leave for the mission to attack Ciril, and I had commanded the warriors to return to the Palace, making it known that anyone who dared overstep would face me.So many of them had overstepped. And so many of them had lost their lives…It had been a massacre at the Central Palace gates yesterday as I tore down warriors who dared disobey my authority.Of course, they had been following my mother’s command since she was their Queen but then I was their Alpha Prince and the rightful candidate for the thr
{Ciril’s POV} All my sessions of training and learning from my mistakes have really paid off as I now knew how to control the Celestial State. In contrast to weeks ago, I now knew how to shift into the State whenever I wanted to.And now that I wanted to, light poured into my eyes and I continued on my journey towards the Palace. I didn’t exactly know my way back to that wretched place but then with my powers, I felt like I suddenly understood the layout of the entire Reigns… and so I could locate the Palace.I continued trudging away now, allowing my rage to take over me. “Ciril!” Feryt’s voice became louder when she realized what was happening. She started calling after me.“Ciril, wait! Stop!”“Ciril!” Clord joined her in the beckoning and I ignored both of their calls.Only the intention I bore in mind mattered to me and the only thing that mattered more was the execution of that intention. The Alpha Queen was the General reason for all my distress. Everything that has ever happ
