Jake's POV

It's hurt, so hurt to the point I don't want to move at all. But if this is the only way to make her stay beside me, I would rather cut my hand or foot.

"Please, please stay." I don't care anymore if I look like a poor dog afraid of being left behind. I don't care about the eyes looking at me now, judge me all they want but this is all I can do now for her to stay with me.

"Jake, what do you think you are doing now!" Grandpa's voice echoed around, but I didn't look at him. I kept my eyes fixed on Lorain, hoping she would listen to me.
