Even if Cecilia wasn't the one behind the deed three years ago, she was somehow related to it. She couldn't tell Bennett who the real mastermind was too.

She closed her eyes, seemingly fearless and resigned to the fate that would befall her.

Bennett hated it when she behaved that way, as though her life didn't matter. He lifted her up.

"You want me to take your life to avenge Avery? It's not that simple. So, you're not coming back to me, huh? Then you'd better wish you could survive to enjoy this wonderful life Henry gave you."

His gaze was sharp like a dagger, and it tore her heart into shreds.

Cecilia remained curled up on the floor even though he was long gone. The pain in her heart left her gasping for air. When she returned to her senses and left the room, she realized she had been taken to the topmost floor of Enchanted.
