The sounds of heels resounded through the surrounding as a pair of fair legs made its way across the hall in quick motion. Reaching a particular door, the entire movements stopped and the surrounding became hush once more; a pale hand was stretched out forth and was placed on the door as if carefully caressing it.
Suddenly, the door started vibrating as ice stretched across the door’s body and soon encapsulated it.
“Shatter” A soft, cool voice carefully stated and the next minute the door crumbled into various irregular clusters of ice, falling to the floor and shattered into a million uncountable pieces.
The owner of the voice made its way to the interior of the door and in view came a most beautiful garden, with many brilliant flowers which seemed rather asleep due to the time.
Tangling vines, falling petals of flowers and reflection of the most beautiful pond by the night’s moonlight made the garden so ethereal that eternity seemed like a little time to spend in it.
The person however seemed rather immune to all its beauty as the pair of legs which weren’t given rest went on valiantly towards their destination.
Finally, the footsteps stopped and a pair of glowing, ice-like blue gorgeous eyes stared forward to a particular sight in somewhat awe.
The sight was indeed awe-striking and worthy to strip of all wordings, the impeccable garden was not in comparison to this sight, to this view, to this figure that took all words from that person.
It was no wonder that those feet weren’t stopped even in all the gloriousness of the garden, for such a figure before them was more beautiful than the ethereal garden could ever be.
The faithful blue moon fell on the figure that lay asleep on a tangling of vines with crossed hands on his chest, illuminating and embellishing the lovely sight.
The red lips of that person parted ever so slightly and said in a whisper filled with both affection and admiration.
“Kharyskhaan….”
Fwoosh!
The sound of something slicing through the wind with its movement was heard and the figure which stole all beauty of the garden was right in front of that person, inciting a gasp.
“Dearest Isdis, what might it be that brought upon such a rare thing? For you to speak my full name, what might your reason be?”
A deep voice that echoed through the garden was heard, it was enchanting and passionate and opposite to that person’s cool voice it sat ablaze whatever it crossed it path.
Isdis shivered, he was so close to her that she could see all his features very close and it was a deathly sight, she could see his ever so glamorous red eyes and long black feminine hair which could never have a rival in all its existence.
Even at that his pale face which was paler than the moon was quite masculine giving off a wonderful contrasting beauty, his sharp fangs glimmered whenever he parted his red lips which left a striking difference on his pale face.
His long lashes whose darkness was in comparison with his hair stood unmoving without a single flutter due to the unblinking gaze he cast on her.
He was gorgeous. And Isdis had never felt fact hit her this hard before.
“It’s nothing, I just want to make sure that you’re ready for by the first crow, we should be taking our leave from this defected place” Isdis said while casting her gaze down to the lovely flowers to avoid losing herself to the redness of those eyes.
“Look at me Isdis, you’re getting most abash this days with me. I seek to know why for this action greatly saddens me” Khary stated depressingly
“Alas Khary for time is fast on its feet, we shalt make move and let your question be brought forth on another day” Isdis said as she graciously pulled away from him causing a chuckle to escape from his lips
“You’re really blest Isdis, your beauty no matter how I behold will never be enough, how can such beauty exist?” Khary said while reaching out his hands to lay hold of Isdis’ cheeks.
“Khary, get hold of yourself” Isdis declared with a glare stopping Khary on his tracks
“Of course” Khary said with a doting smile
“Good, let’s start, you have to be fed first as your full strength is much needed” Isdis says while pulling down the collar of her gown.
Khary’s eyes flashed fiercely as his eyes laid on Isdis’ supple neck, which was as tempting as no other, his eyes was fixed like glue on Isdis whose fair face blushed as her maiden heart almost couldn’t handle the fiery gaze.
With quivering lips, she parted her mouth and motioning to Khary she said-
“D-drink as much as your strength ne-ah…!” Isdis’ speech was cut off when Khary suddenly leapt on her and sank his fangs into her cool neck
‘Her entire body resembles the coldness of frost and her blood is ever so delicious, tasteful like the sweetest of honey and as chillingly satisfactory as cold water to a thirsty soul’ Khary thought as he drank in gulps
“K-khar-hah, w-we…also ne-ngh-ah…..” Isdis tried to speak but found herself at a loss of words due to the feeling of having her blood consumed
It wasn’t as painful as it seemed to sound but it was as scary though, it felt like electricity sizzling through a person but wasn’t painful, instead it felt very good and pleasurable, almost addicting.
Isdis felt her legs weaken but before she could fall, Khary already had her encircled in his hands as she panting.
Both stayed like that until Isdis finally recovered.
“Let’s depart” Isdis said while freezing the bite marks on her neck
“Will it varnish again like the rest?” Khary said still holding Isdis in his hands and caressing the bite marks
“Indeed, so you don’t have to worry” Isdis said in other to comfort Khary who was not at the least comforted
‘But this I detest for I want my marks to be forever engraved in her delicate skin. I want the whole world to know that she is my owned’ Khary thought while still caressing her neck
“Khary?” Isdis asked confusedly seeing how Khary was tightening the hug
“Hmm, let us depart” Khary said with a hum and abruptly a sound of something tearing was heard,
Looking upwards, two pair of beautiful yet melancholy black bat-like wings was seen fluttering heavily and the wind it incurred heavily disturbed the garden whose habitants where wavering crazily.
Khary red eyes glowed like rubies under the night as he took Isdis in his arms and levitated upwards before swooshing away to a particular exit in the garden.
Isdis led the way confidently as she was more than sure of all her preparations, at first her ice powers couldn’t penetrate no matter how she tried and due to that she couldn’t figure out this path as she needed her ice to infiltrate the area to be able to read it.
But after months of practice she finally managed to send her ice in there and read the path, she was more than confident that there escape would not fail.
The Kingdom of Glaciers was a very powerful kingdom with many mages which made it well respected as mages were as rare as can be in the Land of Tempest.
The Five kingdoms who occupied this land were all powerful with their specific expertise and The Kingdom of Glacier’s main force was mages. They were also called the Kingdom of Magic due to how lucky they were in having mages.
Due to this their defense was excellent and nearly impenetrable, the entire kingdom was encompassed with a strong field force that could defect almost any kinds of attacks and this field was double in the palace.
With this conditions it was almost impossible for Isdis to escape but after years of trial and error, spreading her ice claws throughout the palace discreetly, heavens finally smiled at her, she found their escape route.
As all her movements in the castle was monitored and restricted, her only way to do things was with her ice powers.
Her powers allowed her to imbue her consciousness with ice and she could see, hear and feel everything that the ice could without being there physically as long as the ice had been there. This meant that she could read the memories of her ice and using that, she managed to find this exit by chance after searching for so long.
This exit was meant for only the royals in cases of emergency, it was a hidden place and a restricted place as it was the hole in the defense of Glacier.
Leaving or entering the defense of both the kingdom wasn’t allowed unless permission was taken from the knights who in turn took permission from the mages in charge of defense.
But as for the castle, all external movements were only allowed by the king but this hole in the castle’s defense, made it so that as long as you’re a blood of royalty, your exit was guaranteed.
But Isdis knew that even at this, escaping was everything but easy and was more than ready for anything.
As Khary flew speedily to their location, they finally arrived but was greeted with a rather unpleasant surprise.
“Welcome Princess Isdis, shall I know what brings you and this vagabond before my presence?” A bearded white haired man said with a chilling smile said to the shocked duo.
It was the head of the mages, the greatest wizard in the entire Land of Tempest and the No. 1 reason that Isdis and Khary was locked up in the first place.
Gonnord Richery.
There wasn’t a single exchange of words, there was not a change in expression of either of the duo and only the soft whisper of Isdis could be heard as she commanded. “Downwards” And without a single hesitation, Khary let go of the princess. From the height they were in, any fragile mortal could break a few bones when landed but Khary was everything but worried about the princess for he knew her strength. Gonnord looked upwards at the falling figure of the princess whose eyes was closed as her milky long lashes fell over them, her hair beautiful platinum hair with strips of black which was tied in two ponytails on both sides fluttered fiercely as the wind bated it around. Indeed Princess Isdis was a beauty, with such a graceful beauty that made any fall at first sight marriage would have never been a problem for her. She could have been able to marry anyone she wanted and even if she despised marriage, with the great power and intelligence she had shown over the years, it seemed
Isdis parted her eyes and was greeted with the sight of a homely barn, in an instant she gasped as she jolted upwards in shock. “Khary…!” “I am here my lady, don’t be anxious for I am here and will forever be at your aid throughout my living” Khary said with a hum while placing a cup of brewed herbs before Isdis “What is it with you, I only required an answer and not an oath” Isdis said tiredly while taking up the herb and sniffing it curiously “What is this?” “Jasmine flowers, helps keep the body warm and quite delicious” Khary explained like a professional chef “Hmm, where are we?” Isdis asked again while glancing around as she sipped her tea “Delicious” she muttered “Is it not? We are on an abandoned barn in the far mountainous regions of the Kingdom of Florence, just like your map stated that we should be in” Khary said “You flew all the way to this location? Are you not weakened?” Isdis asked worriedly “Indeed, I was overwhelmed with tiredness as I stopped at this sit

Chapter Five Darkness enveloped everywhere like a curtain and not even a single iota of light could be seen, it was the type of darkness that swallowed every detail leaving nothing but emptiness to the eyes except…on human eyes that is. Khary glared at space as his red eyes shone ever so brightly, the darkness not even close to dimming its maleficence. He growled deep from his throat like an animal as he tried as much as he could to break off the chains that bound him. “….ah!” Khary gasped as his powers which he had wanted to use and shatter the damn chains were enforced back at him. He roared in rage as he went insane the next minute, pulling and dragging at the chains with all his strength. Even after hours he still was at it, continuously trying to break free from this prison…just like before back then. ‘I have to get back to Isdis, she might be in danger!’ Khary thought as he put all his mind into breaking the damn chains. It was then that the door opened and someone came in,
