There wasn’t a single exchange of words, there was not a change in expression of either of the duo and only the soft whisper of Isdis could be heard as she commanded.
“Downwards”
And without a single hesitation, Khary let go of the princess. From the height they were in, any fragile mortal could break a few bones when landed but Khary was everything but worried about the princess for he knew her strength.
Gonnord looked upwards at the falling figure of the princess whose eyes was closed as her milky long lashes fell over them, her hair beautiful platinum hair with strips of black which was tied in two ponytails on both sides fluttered fiercely as the wind bated it around.
Indeed Princess Isdis was a beauty, with such a graceful beauty that made any fall at first sight marriage would have never been a problem for her.
She could have been able to marry anyone she wanted and even if she despised marriage, with the great power and intelligence she had shown over the years, it seemed that the throne was tailor-made for her but most unfortunately, fate was quite a vicious thing.
“You should feel gracious for your life o dear princess, do you not know this simple fact?!” Gonnord exclaimed angrily as he pulled out a book from his robe
“Gracious?! And at that I laugh ‘Ha! Ha!’ Gonnord for if your king and queen hadn’t bid it be, then this thing shouldn’t have been!” Isdis said whilst gritting her teeth
Gonnord quietened down and looked like his conclusion was using force to tame the princess. Closing his eyes, he proclaimed.
“Let the arms of Mother Nature be troubled, let it take its displeasure on my enemies for they had disturbed its beautiful slumber!”
“Ack!” Isdis exclaimed as the vines crudely stretched towards her in an attempt to hold her down, she frowned heavily but then a smirk was born unto her face as she thought
‘He goes easy on me and it shall be his doom. If my hands most be stained with the crimson of blood in order to save my companion and I, then let it be so!’
Creating poles of ice which she deftly moved across, she successfully escaped the vines by using her confusing movements to tangle them up and move unto the next target.
The wizard was still in awe but soon laughed gleefully, the little princess might have grown but lacking even the most basic of training for mages this was how far she could only go! She must be feeling the drain on her by….what?!
Gonnord felt a huge dread of danger when the princess was suddenly unto him and in a fit of panic he summoned another spell instantly.
‘As expected of a powerful mage, he needn't words to convey his magic! How naïve was I!’ Isdis thought in annoyance towards herself as she dodged just in time for the flame to touch her.
“Thy weakness have I summoned, shall we therefore continue this brawl?” Gonnord said in delight
“We may not for my opponent may have the raw strength but my intelligence will always be a messiah” Isdis said with a smirk and before Gonnord could make sense of what she was saying, he felt is heart grow cold.
“H-how….?” Gonnord managed to ask even with frozen lips in amazement as he felt his heart freezing up completely from the transparent hands that was inside his heart
“My abilities have grown” Isdis said with a smile which seemed unlike a smile
“It seems our little princess have truly grown, your highness would be very pleased if not for where our fates would end in after this. Princess have you reconsidered? Have you frosted your heart enough to not give worry to what might befall your parents following this decision of yours?” Gonnord said making Isdis bite her lips as her beautiful blue eyes quivered in anxiety
“I have indeed and I say this to all of this, fuck it!” Isdis said with a roar
“F-fu- what?” The poor, grey old wizard who was still stuck in the ancients asked confusedly
“It doesn’t matter! If you don’t know such a simple curse that even I in all my enclosure knows then so be it!” Isdis proclaimed with flustered face making the wizard even more confused
“Listen Gonnord, you are a good man and I have known that ever since you snuck in potions and books to help my magic, therefore I won’t not slay you. Your heart is not frozen but some of the nerves in your body have been so you shalln’t be able to move, and as you see, even thy wordings are restricted;
I will be leaving, my magic will be undone at the setting of the sun and then shall you escape with your life and as for your highnesses, their life shall be in the matters of the people just like how it had been said in their vows of leadership. Farewell to you Gonnord, greet my little brother and tell him to take care of this beloved kingdom very well and apologize for me, speak unto him that I had wished my presence graced him more than it did”
Isdis said sadly while backing away from Gonnord, levitating herself she flew towards Khary as Gonnord watched her depart.
‘It seems prophesies cannot be escaped indeed. A new revolution….has begun’ Gonnord thought as a rush of heat burst inwards him, freeing him from the ice
“I want to see that revolution princess, no matter what you do, I will always be a faithful servant of yours, your gracious highness” Gonnord said with a bow towards the distant figure that had long escaped the field before walking back into the castle
Meanwhile, Khary held unto Isdis who lay limp and unmoving in his hands mid-flight, her face was flushed and she was panting heavily from all the stress.
“My princess, why have you proven of hard hearing and hurt yourself? Haven't I mentioned to you? I have more control of my abilities now and would not have killed that kind old man” Khary stated worriedly
“My choices were limited, he would have released his full strength on you and even if you do defeat him, it wouldn’t be a good outcome for us for we need thy strength” Isdis stressed
“I see, then I shalt listen to you my princess” Khary said
“Haven’t I told you before? Call me Isdis” Isdis declared with a huff
“Yes, your highness” Khary said with a chuckle
Isdis parted her eyes and was greeted with the sight of a homely barn, in an instant she gasped as she jolted upwards in shock. “Khary…!” “I am here my lady, don’t be anxious for I am here and will forever be at your aid throughout my living” Khary said with a hum while placing a cup of brewed herbs before Isdis “What is it with you, I only required an answer and not an oath” Isdis said tiredly while taking up the herb and sniffing it curiously “What is this?” “Jasmine flowers, helps keep the body warm and quite delicious” Khary explained like a professional chef “Hmm, where are we?” Isdis asked again while glancing around as she sipped her tea “Delicious” she muttered “Is it not? We are on an abandoned barn in the far mountainous regions of the Kingdom of Florence, just like your map stated that we should be in” Khary said “You flew all the way to this location? Are you not weakened?” Isdis asked worriedly “Indeed, I was overwhelmed with tiredness as I stopped at this sit

He growled deep from his throat like an animal as he tried as much as he could to break off the chains that bound him. “….ah!” Khary gasped as his powers which he had wanted to use and shatter the damn chains were enforced back at him. He roared in rage as he went insane the next minute, pulling and dragging at the chains with all his strength. Even after hours he still was at it, continuously trying to break free from this prison…just like before back then. ‘I have to get back to Isdis, she might be in danger!’ Khary thought as he put all his mind into breaking the damn chains. It was then that the door opened and someone came in,
The sounds of heels resounded through the surrounding as a pair of fair legs made its way across the hall in quick motion. Reaching a particular door, the entire movements stopped and the surrounding became hush once more; a pale hand was stretched out forth and was placed on the door as if carefully caressing it.Suddenly, the door started vibrating as ice stretched across the door’s body and soon encapsulated it.“Shatter” A soft, cool voice carefully stated and the next minute the door crumbled into various irregular clusters of ice, falling to the floor and shattered into a million uncountable pieces. The owner of the voice made its way to the interior of the door and in view came a most beautiful garden, with many brilliant flowers which seemed rather asleep due to the time.Tangling vines, falling petals of flowers and reflection of the most beautiful pond by the night’s moonlight made the garden so ethereal that eternity seemed like a little time to spend in it.The person howe
