"Date with Alexander"

Chapter 2

Isabella pov

I'm at this Italian restaurant and if you are wondering how I agreed to get into this pretend date because my daddy dearest threatened and blackmailed me again and I can't lose my mother's company to my father after working my ass off there is no way.

I look at my watch and yes my fiance hasn't shown himself maybe he's doing some makeup or something because girls take time and come late but here is Alexander Morozov who hasn't shown himself. If he didn't show himself in 10 minutes I'm leaving.

How dare he stood me up and not come to this so-called date, first of all, I was forced into coming to this date, and now he doing this.

As I sipped the last drop of wine I signed and when I thought to stand and leave, I looked up to find Alexander walking in the direction of my table our eyes locked, and just like they said in movies everyone else turned blurred except for him.

My heart started to beat very fast do I have a heart problem why is my heart beating so loudly maybe there's something wrong with me and he stood in front of his chair and looked down at me and then after ordering the food he sat in the opposite chair.

I came out from whatever spell he put me into and narrowed my eyes at him as his gaze locked onto me again and his eyes dark eyes bore into mine I shivered.

"Don't you think for a man who valued his time so much should have come on time?" I said sarcastically.

He didn't make any comment on my venomous words and kept looking at me, my cheeks turned red I glared at him and said "You don't even have an excuse?"

After a long time, he finally said "Something came up but if I being honest I didn't wanna come to this so-called date." he stated coldly I tried to not be offended.

"oh, likewise Mr. Morozov," I said with a tight smile. And now it's his turn to glare at me but I didn't back down and glared at him too.

"Careful Bella Don't provoke me or else I won't react well back." he threatened in his cold and dark voice just like him, I scoffed at him and looked away to control myself from throwing this wine glass at his head.

When I remembered what has he called me by I glared at him and said "Don't call me Bella, My name is Isabella." I cleared my throat.

I know in Italian it means 'pretty' I'm half Russian and half Italian so I know a little bit of Italian.

"Are you perhaps blushing Bella?" he said with a teasy smile and my eyes narrowed but he is right, why the heck am I even blushing, I calmed down my racing heart and said.

"Don't flatter yourself much i wasn't blushing for you," I said my lips pressed into thin line.

His eyes darkened as he glared at me I glared back but our glaring competition came to an end when the waiter came with our food I was hungry so just as the waiter left without waiting for Alexander I dig in.

I heard a chuckling sound in surprise I looked up to find him in the same position hands crossed into his hard chest, I've always seen him in formal outfits he looked revisingly handsome his hard muscles bludging in his shirt and my eyes moved to his grey eyes to his mole on his upper lips and his lips look soft and- 

he cleared his throat I came out of the trance my cheeks turned red I looked down quickly at my food.

"Bella, you can admire me i don't mind," he said with a chuckle but there was humor in his voice i closed my eyes in embarrassment and looked up to glare at him.

"I told you to stop flattering--" he cut me in the middle and said.

"yeah, I know not to flutter myself you're not admiring me and most importantly you're not blushing because of me." he completed with an amused voice.

I mutter a 'whatever' and start to eat again to run away from the embarrassment and he doesn't point out anything again and starts eating as well. 

After a while, he asked, "You have become way more different than you were in high school." I paused and anger rushed to my body but not to make it obvious I said with venom dripping from my voice.

"I had to change because of someone special not everyone is like you," I said sarcastically and I did hit a nerve because now His eyes were turned into an eye-piercing glare but I smiled innocently at him. 

His eyes narrowed at my fake innocent smile and he asked through gritted teeth, "What do you mean by not everyone is like me?" 

"Oh, you know like forgetting how you bullied someone and now trying to make conversation like nothing happened how can be so cool about it." then I realized after trying to control my anger I'd snapped at him to which his eyes darkened our gaze locked together I gulped but I kept glaring at him.

"Isabella" he warns glaring at me through darkened eyes. Is it wrong to get butterflies just by hearing him call my name, what is wrong with me?

I didn't comment again and he said again "I'm warning you again, do not provoke I won't react well." he said in his calm yet dangerous voice my eyes narrowed slightly, and said. "so whatever you did back then was good?" 

After a beat, he said "I'm not discussing the past with you." he dismissed it again. I got annoyed by his actions but I stayed silent after the dinner went silently.

He paid and gestured for me to walk first acting gentlemanly behavior which isn't in his dictionary but told my heart which was beating very loudly to beat slowly because this was just a pretense game. 

After I got outside the the cold wind made me shiver. I rub my palms together and tug the coat closed to my short dress which I style with high-thigh boots and a long coat which is warm for this cold weather i know my cheeks must have turned red already because of the cold weather.

I felt his presence behind me and I turned around and looked up to him. Why is he a giant from what I assume he must be 6'4 inch while I'm short but not too short I have to look up to see his face I'm 5'2, and he looked down at me with his dark gray eyes hands in his pocket as I opened my mouth to say something I close it soon because he started talking.

"don't get your hopes high like I'm going to ask you when we are meeting again and let me drop you at your place, I'm no gentleman Isabella get that inside your head." just like I said before he's not a gentleman but an actor.

I know it shouldn't hurt but did I want him to ask me to drop at my place like a fiance would do? No nope, why would I even think that. he is my ex-bully who tormented me and hurt me in high school.

After what felt like an eternity I finally stated coldly while staring into his cold aloof eyes, "Same goes for you Mr.Morozov don't get your hopes too high this is just a business and I like to stay professional and to your information, I was expecting this from you because that's who you are." 

His eyebrow raised in question as asking what I meant by that but this was what I had to say and I turned around to find my car had already come. I started walking toward it without any regrets I had expressed to him.

But his words stopped me in my tracks. He said in a casual voice, but he knew what might hurt me. "Your father didn't tell you the reason why he's marrying you to your sworn enemy, did he?" he said sarcastically. I almost didn't recognize him.

I didn't turn around and waited for him to complete. "I hope not he was just doing this for his own reasons Isabella are you naive or what, he made a deal with my father so he could be beneficial for both companies but most likely your company or dare I say your father's company."

He chuckled blankly and I flinched and turned around to face him we were just a little distance from each other I wanted to go to my car so he could stop his rubbish but my legs were feeze at its place. I want to know more what he has to say.

(this was the second chapter I tried to break but it became a little long)
