Flicker of hope

Liam paced around as he inspected the security men feeling furious when he noticed something amiss. Something he should have avoided at all cost.

“Where are all the new men I hired this morning?” He asked for the fourth time as all the men looked down. None having any explanation of what happened.

Liam swept everything on his desk angrily, it was clear as day the new men were Blake's men, how could he even be so careless!

“Calm down, at least now we know where to start,” Mr. Vane, who surprisingly took all this well, comforted him.

Liam glanced at Mr. Vane in gratitude, his support especially at such a time meant so much to him.

Once again detectives flocked the Storm residence, but this time looking for Kyla. No calls or threats were made yet, but they all had hope something would come in.

Liam gave all the details as the investigation team jotted down everything they needed. The doorbell rang, ushering in a panicked Amber and Justus. Liam couldn't help but feel bad on seeing his
