The closer they got to the mansion, Anne’s eyes got teary. This was the last location she was coming to with her husband before they got in that accident. Amelia did her best to soothe her. Although she had little tears in her eyes, too, she never thought she was ever going to meet her mother, and here she was going home with her mother.

It was a miracle.

Loveth had been informed to tidy their wing in the mansion ahead of time since they didn’t like the idea of the maids entering their personal space. And she did a good job; the living room was sparkly clean, and they were all hit by the aroma coming from the dining room. Amelia had not expected Sharon and Steve there, but they waited for them in the living room and welcomed Anne as if she were their family.

It brought a smile to Amelia’s lip, which in turn brought a smile to Mike.
