They were back at the orphanage, and Amelia and Sharon followed them this time. The moment they left the car, Sharon had let out an audible gasp, lamenting how the whole building was supposed to be illegal. She picked up her phone, promising to report them immediately. It was Steve who stopped her from making the call.

Mike groaned; it was the reason he didn’t want to bring the women, but Amelia was taking it in better than Sharon. She hadn’t said a word as she continued staring at the building. After a while, she breathed in and urged them to move inside. Sharon had calmed down, but her face was still marred in a frown.

They were silent as they walked into the orphanage. Amelia's eyes moved around, taking in everything; if Myers hadn’t decided to adopt her, would she have ended up in a place like this? No matter how much she wanted to hate them, she should be thankful they rescued her from being a victim of situations like this.
