Seventy Nine

Amelia had stormed into the mansion enraged; it was hard to believe that Ava had come after all the warnings. She still thought she could threaten and treat her as she used to. There was no hiding her anger. Immediately, she stepped inside Anne, ready to welcome them with a smile, but frowned when she saw the frown on her face.

“What’s wrong?” Her voice was laced with concern.

Mike had wrapped his hand around her, making her feel better. “It’s okay, Wifey. You handled it well; no need to get angry or stressed over it.”

“What’s wrong?” Anne asked again; this time, her voice was laced with urgency.

Mike responded, “We met Amelia’s sister at the gate. She’s angry because of that.”

“Amelia’s sister.” Anne parroted.

“Oh. The Myers daughter mother. They grew up as sisters.”
