Chapter Thirty One

David was coming out of his therapist appointment. He was about to leave when he saw someone that felt like a ghost to him. He kept on blinking. Trying to actually figure out that it was who he thought it was.

It was still him. Clive was sitting in the waiting room chatting with another man.

Clive looked up and his eyes met David's. For a moment, neither of them moved. They just stood there, staring at each other. The air was thick with tension. The other man in the waiting room cleared his throat and stood up. "I'll, uh, I'll come back later." he said, and he quickly left the room.

It was just David and Clive now. The silence was deafening. Finally, David found his voice. "Clive." He said, his voice shaking. "I... I..."

Clive stood up and took a step towards David. "It's okay." He smiled at David confused that the man knew his name. " Yes?"
