A Hot Ferris Wheel Ride

[Tatiana’s POV]

“Get it!” I yell, pointing at the zombie on the screen in front of us. “What are you doing?”

“I’m trying,” Knight huffs, pointing his weapon at the screen and pulling the trigger.

Biting back the giggle that wants to escape, I watch as his shot zooms past the zombie's head.

“Dammit,” he growls as the creature attacks and Game Over appears on the screen. “This thing must be defective.”

“Defective,” I repeat, raising a brow.

When I suggested that we come to the arcade to play some games, I fully expected to look like an idiot, but instead Knight was the one doing that. How someone could be so bad at games was beyond me, but I was enjoying seeing this side of him.

“One more time,” he huffs, reaching in his pocket and hunting for tokens. “I won’t lose again.”
