Emilia Abel - POV

It was not easy to drive past the busy pack town when I constantly kept looking back to see if Luis was coming behind me. My heartbeat was still erratic while I kept wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans. As I reached the pack borders, I saw the two warriors approach my car. “Miss. Abel, are you leaving the pack?” one of them asked me when I nodded my head as I took the letter that my mom forged and gave it to him.

“My friend just gave birth, and I am going to visit her,” I told him as he scanned the forged paper, which had our alpha’s signature on it. Ever since I became Luis’s mate, he had made sure that I did not even step out of the house, not alone in the pack.

“Isn't Gamma Knight coming with you?” the warrior asked me with a suspicious look on his face.

“You know how he is swarmed with work. He told me to go ahead and he would join me later.” I said without stammering, and the warrior nodded his head as he handed the paper back to me.

“Okay, have a safe journey, Miss. Abel. We will see you in the pack soon.” he said, and I gave him a forced smile as I drove past the gates. I didn't know I was holding my breath when I finally let out a heavy sigh as I passed the pack borders, and I felt my mate bond stretch along with my connection to this pack.

I drove for a few more kilometers when I parked my car at the curb and got down. Taking a deep breath, I looked in the direction of the pack while my hands curled into fists.

You can do this, Emilia.

I whispered to myself as I opened my eyes and stared at the empty road in determination. “I, Emilia Abel, reject you, Luis Knight, as my mate and gamma of the Winter Moon pack,” I said without a waver in my voice as I felt the mate bond break within me.

My hand flew to my chest as I felt like someone stabbed me with a hot knife. Tears began to form in the corner of my eyes while I stayed rooted to my spot. “I, Emilia Abel, reject the bond that I share with the Winter Moon pack,” I said as I felt my pack bond break as well.

Gradually, every mind link that I shared with my pack members began to break when I finally felt a void within me. It's over, I am free. I am rogue now.

“We are strong, Amy. We don't need that sccumbag to define who we are.” Silver, my wolf, consoled me when a smile appeared on my face. I wiped away the tears from my cheeks and walked toward my car, with one final look at the pack behind me, I got into my car and drove off.

No one knew where I was going, not even my mother, because she insisted that if she knew, they might force her to spit it out. Even though I still felt this heavy weight within me for leaving her behind in this cruel pack, I knew I couldn't take her with me.

It would be too risky, and alert the pack immediately with her position as the pack doctor. I drove for a long time, only stopping to refill the fuel tank. I didn't know where I was going to go right now, but my mother’s words rang clear as day.

“Go to the north. That is the only place they wouldn't dare come to search,” she said.

I am still confused as to why the winter moon pack does not get along with the packs in the north, but right now, that is my only advantage.

Gamma Luis Knight - POV

Ting.

I looked down at the text message I received.

It's a dead end once again. - unknown.

I felt the anger rise within me as I shoved the phone back into my pocket and looked at Ava, who was oblivious to what was going on as she drank her wine. “Is everything all right, Luis?” she asked me, and I nodded my head as I felt my anger simmer down upon hearing her angelic voice.

Even though there was a smile on her face, I could still see that she was hiding her grief. The grief of losing our child three months ago all because of that bitch Emilia.

The moment the doctor informed me that Ava lost her baby, I wanted to reject Emilia and kill her using my own hands, but then I had a better plan. There was no point in letting her off the hook that easily, so I decided to torture her every day, just like how Ava and I are suffering from our loss.

“Do you want dessert, Ava?” I asked when she nodded her head as she picked up the menu card and began browsing through its content.

“I will have a tiramisu,” she said, and I nodded my head and told her order to the waiter. “Luis,” she spoke, which made me look at her.

“When are you going to reject her and accept me as your mate? You know people are beginning to speak about us, and I…” Before she could finish her sentence, I placed my hand on hers, and I squeezed it in reassurance.

“No matter what they say, you are my mate, Ava. Just give me a little more time. I will reject Emilia and then accept you in front of the entire pack, okay?” I asked her when she nodded her head.

“Luis.”

“Hmm.”

“You know it's our anniversary today, right?” she asked me, and I nodded my head. “Shall we end this night with some wine at my place? I want you to stay with me tonight, Luis.”

“Anything for…” my hand clutched my chest while my face contorted in agony as I felt this searing pain within.

The pain gradually increased to the pain where I almost lost my breath as I felt like every fiber within me was burning. “What is going on?” I asked my wolf. “She broke the mate bond.” that was all he uttered as he retreated to the back of my mind as I screamed in agony and anger. “Luis, Luis, stay with me.” I heard Ava’s voice, but it felt like a distant call when I saw the black dots appear in the corner of my eyes, and soon everything became dark around me. Emilia Abel - POVMy eyes were drooping closed, but I opened them wide as I drove at a little over a hundred miles per hour on the empty road. I have been driving for more than six hours without sleep, and I lost track of my location as well. The sun was beginning to come up from the horizon, suggesting a new day ahead. My eyes almost shut close again when I saw something abruptly jump in front of my car. I didn't have enough time to stop the vehicle as the animal collided with my vehicle, and fell to the floor a few meters away. My heart was beating so fast while my hands trembled from the collision. I quickly got out of the car and ran towards the wolf when it turned into a human. He was badly injured, and I saw there were a lot of cut wounds while he was bleeding from his head. He must easily tower over me when I saw that the entire left side of his chest, along with his arm, was heavily tattooed. With his clean-shaven face and his close-cut hairstyle, it only suggested that he

Emilia Abel - POVI might be a healer, but I have always never been that good with blood, and looking at this man’s wounds, I felt the bile rise up my throat. “We need to save him before he dies in here, Amy,” Silver yelled at me when I nodded my head. I walked out of the room, made my way back to the car, and grabbed my bags as I walked back upstairs. After making sure that the room door was locked, I placed my bags on the bed and looked for the first aid kit that my mom packed for me. I took out most of my clothes when I finally found what I was looking for and placed them on the bed. As I opened it, I saw that Mom had packed everything she would need for an operation, even though I told her that I would never need all these. I placed everything I would need on the bed, grabbed the blanket from the bed, walked towards the man, and placed it over his lower half. I wore a pair of surgical gloves took my equipment towards him, and sat next to him as I began stitching him up. Once I

Emilia Abel - POV“What is your name?” he asked me a few minutes later. “Emilia Abel. And you?” I asked him. “Mateo Benjamin,” he said, and I nodded my head as I looked out through the window. “So, which pack are you from?” Gamma Benjamin questioned when I felt my blood run cold. I didn't know what to say as I blankly stared out at the many trees we last by. “Somewhere in the east.” I vaguely answered. When I saw a frown appear on his face. He didn't ask anything more. Thirty minutes later, Gamma Benjamin turned into a narrow lane into the forest, which soon widened to reveal a huge iron gate with a few warriors standing guard. As we stopped in front of the gates, a warrior approached our car. “Gamma Benjamin, who is this woman?” the warrior questioned as he stared at me. “She is with me. We are going to meet the Alpha,” he replied, the warrior nodded his head, and the gates were soon opened for us to pass inside. I have only heard rumors about the Red Stone pack because no one h

Emilia Abel - POVAs I walked out of Alpha Sanders's office, I saw Gamma Benjamin was still standing outside as he walked in. I walked towards the wall and leaned against it as I closed my eyes while Alpha Sanders's words kept playing in my mind. “I will not allow you to stay here as a permanent resident, but I will give you three months until you find another pack to move. That is the best I can offer, Miss. Abel.” “Miss. Abel.” I was broken out of my thoughts when I saw Gamma Benjamin standing in front of me with a set of keys. “Shall we go to your new room?” he asked me, and I nodded my head. We walked out of the hallway and walked up the stairs when he took a sharp right, and I saw the elevators. He pressed the button, and soon, the doors opened as we walked inside. “This is your access key. If you lose this, you will not be able to get out of this elevator. Do you understand, Miss. Abel?” Gamma Benjamin questioned as he showed me a silver key. I nodded my head when I saw him b

I leaned against the door and slid down to the floor as the tears began to flow down my cheeks. Alpha Sanders must have already heard the news, and I don't think he would let me stay in here anymore. I looked out through the window at the open sky. “Please help me stay in here, moon goddess. I don't think I can go back to that monster again.” I mumbled. Knock knock. “Miss. Emilia Abel - POVI know I should not be mad right now. I don't even deserve to cry because we only have a contract mating bond, but I don't why, I felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing me in my heart. “Because he is our mate.” Silver stated as I furiously wiped away the tears and marched out of the pack house. “Miss. Abel?” I was walking towards Andres’s house when I heard Daisy’s voice, which made my steps flatter when she soon joined me. “So, it's true?” she asked me when I nodded my head as I came to a stop. The sun had already set on the horizon while the entire place was engulfed by the darkness that the night sky brings along. A sarcastic smile appeared on my face while my hand unconsciously cupped my belly. I don't know where I belong anymore. Luis made sure that I would never dream of going back to my old pack, and Andres made sure that I never thought about having a mate again. But among all this grief, I think the moon goddess has blessed me with the one happiness th

Beta Andres Rodriguez - POVAs we walked into the ultrasound room, a nurse helped Elizabeth climb onto the bed when Doctor Quinn walked in a few minutes later. He walked towards her and he was about to close the curtain when I held it. “You can start without closing the curtains, doctor Quinn,” I told him. Elizabeth is a star manipulator and I don't want her doing anything that would ruin this for me. The nurse helped Elizabeth lift her shirt and even though I was praying that she was faking this pregnancy, I was shocked to see that she was indeed pregnant. The nurse applied some sort of gel on her belly, when the doctor started the machine and began moving the wad around her belly while my eyes were glued to the monitor. I already have enough problems right now and I don't want this either. “There is your baby, Miss. Ross.” doctor Quinn finally said after a while as he pointed to the monitor. A loving smile appeared on her face while I stood frozen in my place. “Do you want to hea

Emilia Abel - POVIt's been a few days since Luis had come to the Red Stone pack, and even though Andres had sent him out, I was still on edge. Doctor Quinn’s words kept echoing in my head as I fidget with my pen. “Miss. Abel?” I looked up to see Daisy standing near my open door with two mugs of coffee. “Why do you still look tensed?” she asked me when I waved her off. She walked to my desk and placed one of the coffee mugs in front of me as I took a sip. “It's just the nerves and the stress, Daisy. Anyway, did you talk to the florist?” I asked her as I looked down at the file I was reading. The wedding of my first client is tomorrow morning, and I still have a lot to finish.“Yes, he said he is at the venue right now. But he would like to have your opinion as well, Miss. Knock knock. “Come in.” Doctor Quinn called while he pulled the curtain that covered me from view when I saw the nurse walk inside with Beta Rodriguez and Luis. I was lying back down on the bed when Doctor Quinn walked outside. “Please take a seat in here. You can take a look at this screen while I do the ultrasound. And if she is pregnant, you would be able to see that, all right?” he asked when they both nodded their heads as the nurse walked to stand beside me. I didn't know how he was going to show them that I was not pregnant when I saw the nurse spread a cold gel on my belly while Doctor Quinn took his wad and began moving it around my belly. Throughout the process, my heart wa

After all, it's been a month since we had sex.” Luis said as he turned around to face me. “Am I right, Emilia?” “If she was pregnant with your child, she should have shown signs of pregnancy, Gamma Knight.” Andres finally spoke.“And you are telling me she did not show any signs?” Luis questioned when Andres nodded his head. “If she did, I would have sent her

Emilia Abel - POVI had my timer set for five minutes just to be on the safe side, and to be honest, this was the longest five minutes of my entire life as I paced back and forth in my bedroom. A million emotions were coursing through my veins right now but the prominent among them was fear. Fear of what the future would have for me and the uncertainty of my life. Ting ting. I nearly jumped out of my skin as my alarm went off when I quickly walked to the bed and turned it off. I took in a few deep breaths before I made it inside the bathroom. The pregnancy sticks were facing downwards as I gently turned them around with my eyes closed. You can do this, Emilia. Just have a positive thought. I whispered to myself as I opened my eyes and looked at the result. I felt like someone sucked the air from my lungs while I felt a numbing pain course through my veins. Tears pooled in the corner of my eyes as the pregnancy stick fell to the floor with a thud. This can't be true.I mumbled to

Abel.” the nurse told me, so I thanked her and began walking in further. The hospital was barely busy during this hour except for a few women who had come for their daily check-ups. Three hallways were branching out, and I took the one to my right and continued walking when I saw a few women were sitting on waiting chairs in front of a closed door. As I got closer, I realized that it was Doctor Quinn’s room. I stood by the door when it opened a few minutes later as a nurse stepped outside. She called a woman inside and then closed the door and walked towards me. “You must be Miss. Abel?” she asked me as she looked down at her tablet. “Yes, um, is it possib

  • Beta Andres Rodriguez   Chapter 33

Emilia Abel - POVI was so distracted with what happened in the kitchen earlier that I didn't even see where I was going as I bumped into something hard while my legs got tangled, and just as I was about to hit the floor, I felt a pair of strong arms hold me and pull me back up. “What is running through that pretty head of yours.” my eyes moved up when I saw Jasper with a smirk on his face. I quickly stepped away as a nervous smile formed on my face. “I am sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going,” I told him as he grabbed my handbag from the floor and gave it to me. “I can see that. You look distracted.” “Well, this is the first time I am working, so everything is a little overwhelming,” I told him when the smile on his face faded away. Jasper knew exactly how I lived with Luis and he had also witnessed how Luis punished me a few times too. It was when Jasper tried to save me from a beating that made Luis furious and made him falsely accuse Jasper and throw him out of the pack.
