Emilia Abel - POV

I felt extremely warm but cozy at the same time as I felt the hold on me tighten. I tried to turn around, but I was locked in my position when I heard a light knocking on the door. With great difficulty, I opened my eyes, while I squinted a few times to clear my vision to see that the room was pitch dark.

I must have slept the entire day. I tried to get up, but the man’s hold on me tightened, and I felt something poke my inner thigh.

“Miss, are you inside?” I heard a man yell. I quickly detangled myself from his hold and got up from the floor. After taming my wild curls, I walked towards the room door and opened it to see the man from the reception standing there.

“Yes?”

“Just a routine check. There are a few men here looking for someone. So…” I didn't hear the rest of his words as a cold shiver ran down my spine.

Did he find me?

“Could you and your husband come with me?” he asked me when I was broken out from my trance. I stepped out of the room and closed the door.

“My husband is sleeping at the moment. He has caught the flu, so…”

“Oh, I will…” Before he could finish his sentence, I heard heavy footsteps coming upstairs, and soon I saw three unfamiliar men walk towards us. My heart nearly jumped out of my throat as they came to a stop in front of my room door.

They were all werewolves and from their scent, I knew that they were pack wolves, but they weren't from my pack. “We will take it from here.” the man, who looked a little taller than the other two, said when I saw a worried look cross over the human’s face.

“I will stay…”

“We can take it from here. You can leave.” the man said with authority when he nodded his head and walked out of there. The man who spoke had blonde hair, which was cut in a military cut, and looked as well built as the man who was in my room.

“You know you have crossed into our territory without our permission?” the man asked me.

“I…am still in the neutral territory.” I asserted, sounding unsure when a sarcastic smile appeared on his face.

“Ma’am, you have officially entered the Red Stone pack. And I believe you are well aware of the rules. No rogue is allowed to stay in here unless permitted by the Alpha. But you have broken that rule.”

“It was never my intention to stay in here. I was driving past your territory when a wolf collided with my vehicle, and I had no choice but to help, so I booked a room here.” I said when a frown formed on the man’s face.

“You know I don't believe you, right?” he asked me.

“You can see it for yourself,” I said as I walked towards my room and opened the door. As I walked inside, I felt the man walk inside as well. “I don't know who…”

“Andres?” I abruptly turned around to face the man when he rushed to Andres’s side and knelt down on the ground.

“You know him?” I asked him, but he ignored my question.

“What happened to him?” the man questioned when I saw the other two men walk inside as well.

“He sustained a lot of stab wounds, and there was a significant amount of silver in his body as well.” I listed out what I saw. The man assessed his wounds when he looked at me with suspicion.

“If there was silver in his body, then how did his wounds heal?”

Shit, I shouldn't have told him there was silver in his body.

“Tell him you had the antidote.” Silver said.

“I had the antidote for silver in my first aid kit,” I replied when I saw the man look at the mess that was on the bed. The rubbish bin was filled with stained cotton balls, and the bed was scattered with the equipment I used.

“You are a doctor?” he said, but I shook my head.

“My mother is a doctor. So I learned a few things from her.” I told him when he nodded his head.

“Gamma Benjamin, we might have to take Beta Rodriguez to the pack hospital immediately. His body is unusually warm.” one of the men said, and Gamma Benjamin nodded his head.

“Take him to the car, I will come,” he said, and the men helped Andres off the ground and wrapped the blanket around his torso as they walked out of the room.

“Thank you.” I peeled my eyes off Andres and looked at Gamma Benjamin.

“You're welcome,” I said, and he turned around to leave.

“We can ask him to take us into his pack, Emilia.” Silver suggested.

“What are you talking about?”

“Didn't the name of the pack ring a bell?” she asked me when a frown formed on my face. “Red stone pack is one of the strongest packs in the northern region and the sworn enemy of our previous pack as well.”

“Gamma Benjamin,” I called out when he came to a stop and turned around to face me.

“I am looking for a pack to join. So, can I join your pack?” I asked him. A tense silence engulfed us as he stared at me with an indifferent look on his face. When I was about to speak again, he turned around and took a few steps to leave.

“You might have to talk to the Alpha first,” he said as he walked out of the room. A smile broke out on my face when I quickly took all my belongings and walked out of there. As I walked out of the motel, I saw Gamma Benjamin waiting for me near my car. “Ready to go?” he asked me, and I nodded my head.

“Where is Beta Rodriguez?”

“The warriors have already taken him. Let's go,” he said, and I nodded my head and walked to the boot, after loading my things, we got in, and soon we were off.

And you?” I asked him. “Mateo Benjamin,” he said, and I nodded my head as I looked out through the window. “So, which pack are you from?” Gamma Benjamin questioned when I felt my blood run cold. I didn't know what to say as I blankly stared out at the many trees we last by. “Somewhere in the east.” I vaguely answered. When I saw a frown appear on his face. He didn't ask anything more. Thirty minutes later, Gamma Benjamin turned into a narrow lane into the forest, which soon widened to reveal a huge iron gate with a few warriors standing guard. As we stopped in front of the gates, a warrior approached our car. “Gamma Benjamin, who is this woman?” the warrior questioned as he stared at me. “She is with me. We are going to meet the Alpha,” he replied, the warrior nodded his head, and the gates were soon opened for us to pass inside. I have only heard rumors about the Red Stone pack because no one h

Emilia Abel - POVAs I walked out of Alpha Sanders's office, I saw Gamma Benjamin was still standing outside as he walked in. I walked towards the wall and leaned against it as I closed my eyes while Alpha Sanders's words kept playing in my mind. “I will not allow you to stay here as a permanent resident, but I will give you three months until you find another pack to move. That is the best I can offer, Miss. Abel.” “Miss. Abel.” I was broken out of my thoughts when I saw Gamma Benjamin standing in front of me with a set of keys. “Shall we go to your new room?” he asked me, and I nodded my head. We walked out of the hallway and walked up the stairs when he took a sharp right, and I saw the elevators. He pressed the button, and soon, the doors opened as we walked inside. “This is your access key. If you lose this, you will not be able to get out of this elevator. Do you understand, Miss. Abel?” Gamma Benjamin questioned as he showed me a silver key. I nodded my head when I saw him b

“I…I will come downstairs after taking a shower.” I told Gamma Benjamin, and even though he looked like he wanted to drag me out of there this very instant, he nodded his head and walked away as I closed my door and locked it behind me. I leaned against the door and slid down to the floor as the tears began to flow down my cheeks. Alpha Sanders must have already heard the news, and I don't think he would let me stay in here anymore. I looked out through the window at the open sky. “Please help me stay in here, moon goddess. I don't think I can go back to that monster again.” I mumbled. Knock knock. “Miss. Abel!” I heard someone knock on my door again when I quickly wiped away my tears and got up from the floor. “Give me five minutes I will come,” I called out when I quickly walked towards my closet, took out an off-shoulder sundress, and ran into the bathroom. After all my morning routines were done, I put on my clothes, walked out of the bathroom, put on my sandals, and opened m

Emilia Abel - POVI kept pacing back and forth in the hallway when the door abruptly opened, and Alpha Sanders walked outside with a nervous smile on his face. “I am sorry about his behavior, Miss. Abel.” “You don't have to apologize, Alpha Sanders. I think I can see why he does not want me.” I stammered as I looked down at the ground. It hurt to say those words, but I know that I can't stay in here anymore. The second chance mate I got does not want me either, and I don't want to stay here and see him with another woman. “No, Miss. Abel, I…”“I know, I will not stay here, Alpha Sanders. I will leave your pack in a few hours.” I told him as I finally looked up at him with a forced smile on my face. “Thank you once again,” I said, and when I was about to turn around and leave, I heard a voice that made my insides vibrate in bliss. “You don't have to leave.” I turned around when I saw Beta Rodriguez standing near the doorway with Gamma Benjamin. “Huh?” I was confused when he began w

Emilia Abel - POVI felt my blood run cold while a familiar numbness engulfed my body. This may be an unknown number, but I know this is my mother. I turned around and looked at the hallway to see that it was empty when I quickly dialed the number. The phone rang for a long time when she finally picked it up. “Mom?” I whispered as I felt my throat tighten. “Amy, are you safe, sweetheart?” my eyes watered when I heard her voice as I nodded my head.“Yes, who found out, mom?” “I received another letter from the Society, Amy. The last surviving healer was brutally murdered last night. So only you are remaining.” she whispered when I felt my breathing hitch. Well, there was once an ancient bloodline of wolves who were able to heal anything, and as time passed by, their numbers decreased, and people got greedy. Somewhere around eighteen hundred, a witch was able to find a spell that helped ordinary wolves steal the healer's powers, and this made all the healers go into hiding. And tha

“You know you will feel this pain when you sleep with another person who is not your mate. Then how is this clause in this agreement?” I asked Beta Rodriguez as I pointed to clause number 8, which stated that we could sleep with anyone during this one year, but it should be someone outside the pack. “I thought you already knew, Miss. Abel. I just hate liars, so don't try to act innocent with me.” Beta Rodriguez said, sounding irritated. “I have already asked the witch to get us the potion. She will deliver it tomorrow,” he said when I felt my heart sink to the pit of my stomach. I almost forgot about the potion that was used to block your emotions from your mate. I have heard of that before but Luis never used it because he wanted me to feel the pain every time he was with Ava. I went through the rest of the clauses when my eyes widened in surprise at the last one. “What is this?” I asked him as I pointed it out to him. He glanced at it before he leaned back on his chair. “Isn't i

Emilia Abel - POVFor a moment, I felt like everything around me came to a standstill while the only person around me was Beta Rodriguez. “Why do you keep calling him Beta Rodriguez? He is our mate. Call him by his first name.” Silver said, sounding irritated. “I don't want to get attached, Silver. We have a contract, and we should be leaving him when that is over.” I reminded her, and strangely, she kept quiet. I took a deep breath to calm myself as I began walking towards him. I saw the warriors who were there stop for a moment to bow at me in respect, and I managed to give them all a pleasant smile. As I reached Beta Rodriguez, I saw an unreadable look on his face. “What the hell is this?” he sneered as he tried to keep a straight face. A frown appeared on my face while I was confused as to what he was referring to.“What do you mean?” I asked him when a sarcastic smile appeared on his face. “Right, I forgot who you are, Miss. Emilia Abel - POVI turned around, and for a moment, I was frozen in shock while my mind was unable to comprehend if I was dreaming or if he was really there. “Jasper?” I breathed out when I realized that he was as equally surprised to see me there as well. “You are really here?” he asked me when my lower lip began to tremble as I nodded my head. I couldn't believe it. The day Luis threw Jasper out of the winter moon pack, I was not allowed to leave the house, and I was never told where he went. “Yes, and you are here?” I asked him when he nodded his head. It was like the novelty of the surprise wore off as he took two large steps towards me and pulled me into a hug. The warmth and familiarity made my eyes water as I hugged him a little tighter. Ever since I came to this pack, all I received was coldness both from my mate and the others. As I pulled back, I looked up to see that he had not changed much. There was a small stubble on his chin while his brown eyes twinkled with the sa

Emilia Abel - POVI know I should not be mad right now. I don't even deserve to cry because we only have a contract mating bond, but I don't why, I felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing me in my heart. “Because he is our mate.” Silver stated as I furiously wiped away the tears and marched out of the pack house. “Miss. Abel?” I was walking towards Andres’s house when I heard Daisy’s voice, which made my steps flatter when she soon joined me. “So, it's true?” she asked me when I nodded my head as I came to a stop. The sun had already set on the horizon while the entire place was engulfed by the darkness that the night sky brings along. A sarcastic smile appeared on my face while my hand unconsciously cupped my belly. I don't know where I belong anymore. Luis made sure that I would never dream of going back to my old pack, and Andres made sure that I never thought about having a mate again. But among all this grief, I think the moon goddess has blessed me with the one happiness th

  • Beta Andres Rodriguez   Chapter 40

Beta Andres Rodriguez - POVAs we walked into the ultrasound room, a nurse helped Elizabeth climb onto the bed when Doctor Quinn walked in a few minutes later. He walked towards her and he was about to close the curtain when I held it. “You can start without closing the curtains, doctor Quinn,” I told him. Elizabeth is a star manipulator and I don't want her doing anything that would ruin this for me. The nurse helped Elizabeth lift her shirt and even though I was praying that she was faking this pregnancy, I was shocked to see that she was indeed pregnant. The nurse applied some sort of gel on her belly, when the doctor started the machine and began moving the wad around her belly while my eyes were glued to the monitor. I already have enough problems right now and I don't want this either. “There is your baby, Miss. Ross.” doctor Quinn finally said after a while as he pointed to the monitor. A loving smile appeared on her face while I stood frozen in my place. “Do you want to hea

Emilia Abel - POVIt's been a few days since Luis had come to the Red Stone pack, and even though Andres had sent him out, I was still on edge. Doctor Quinn’s words kept echoing in my head as I fidget with my pen. “Miss. Abel?” I looked up to see Daisy standing near my open door with two mugs of coffee. “Why do you still look tensed?” she asked me when I waved her off. She walked to my desk and placed one of the coffee mugs in front of me as I took a sip. “It's just the nerves and the stress, Daisy. Anyway, did you talk to the florist?” I asked her as I looked down at the file I was reading. The wedding of my first client is tomorrow morning, and I still have a lot to finish.“Yes, he said he is at the venue right now. But he would like to have your opinion as well, Miss. Abel.” she told me when I nodded my head. “Do I have any more appointments for the day?” I asked her when she shook her head. “We can go and check out the venue if you are ready,” she told me, and I nodded my hea

Emilia Abel - POVTears rolled down my cheeks as I got up from the bed and held his hand. “Thank you so much, Doctor Quinn,” I told him when he nodded his head. “But once Gamma Knight leaves this pack, I want you to tell Beta Rodriguez about this. Do you understand?” he asked me, and I nodded my head. Knock knock. “Come in.” Doctor Quinn called while he pulled the curtain that covered me from view when I saw the nurse walk inside with Beta Rodriguez and Luis. I was lying back down on the bed when Doctor Quinn walked outside. “Please take a seat in here. You can take a look at this screen while I do the ultrasound. And if she is pregnant, you would be able to see that, all right?” he asked when they both nodded their heads as the nurse walked to stand beside me. I didn't know how he was going to show them that I was not pregnant when I saw the nurse spread a cold gel on my belly while Doctor Quinn took his wad and began moving it around my belly. Throughout the process, my heart wa

Emilia Abel - POV“You are correct, Beta Rodriguez. But you know the rules, if she is found pregnant with my child, then you are supposed to give up your bond with her.” Luis mocked when I felt like someone knocked the air out of my lungs. I felt my hold on Andres's arm tightened when he didn't say anything. Alpha Sanders walked towards us while his eyes were locked with mine. “Are you suggesting she might be pregnant, Gamma Knight?” Alpha Sanders asked Luis when a smile appeared on his face as he turned around to face Alpha Sanders. “I am not suggesting, Alpha Sanders. I am certain that she should be pregnant with my child. After all, it's been a month since we had sex.” Luis said as he turned around to face me. “Am I right, Emilia?” “If she was pregnant with your child, she should have shown signs of pregnancy, Gamma Knight.” Andres finally spoke.“And you are telling me she did not show any signs?” Luis questioned when Andres nodded his head. “If she did, I would have sent her

Are you all right?” she asked me when a forced smile appeared on my face as I nodded my head. “I am just distracted. What is it, Daisy?” I asked her as she placed the files in front of me and stepped back. “These files need your signature. And I also wanted to know if I should schedule your appointment with Doctor Quinn today,” she asked me when a frown formed on my face. “He called the office earlier, and he asked if you would be coming to meet him.” she clarified when I nodded my head. I don't know how am I going to meet him now. I am pregnant with Luis’s child, and he will be coming here today, if this information gets out, I know that Andres would not even stop Luis from taking me back home with him. “That would not be needed. If the condition gets worse I will go and visit

  • Beta Andres Rodriguez   Chapter 35

Emilia Abel - POVI had my timer set for five minutes just to be on the safe side, and to be honest, this was the longest five minutes of my entire life as I paced back and forth in my bedroom. A million emotions were coursing through my veins right now but the prominent among them was fear. Fear of what the future would have for me and the uncertainty of my life. Ting ting. I nearly jumped out of my skin as my alarm went off when I quickly walked to the bed and turned it off. I took in a few deep breaths before I made it inside the bathroom. The pregnancy sticks were facing downwards as I gently turned them around with my eyes closed. You can do this, Emilia. Just have a positive thought. I whispered to myself as I opened my eyes and looked at the result. I felt like someone sucked the air from my lungs while I felt a numbing pain course through my veins. Tears pooled in the corner of my eyes as the pregnancy stick fell to the floor with a thud. This can't be true.I mumbled to

Emilia Abel - POV“How can I help you, ma'am?” the nurse sitting at the reception asked me. “I have an appointment with the pack doctor,” I told her.“Your name, ma'am?” “Emilia Abel,” I told her when she typed something on her computer as she finally looked up at me. “Doctor Quinn would be seeing you in room number ten, Miss. Abel.” the nurse told me, so I thanked her and began walking in further. The hospital was barely busy during this hour except for a few women who had come for their daily check-ups. Three hallways were branching out, and I took the one to my right and continued walking when I saw a few women were sitting on waiting chairs in front of a closed door. As I got closer, I realized that it was Doctor Quinn’s room. I stood by the door when it opened a few minutes later as a nurse stepped outside. She called a woman inside and then closed the door and walked towards me. “You must be Miss. Abel?” she asked me as she looked down at her tablet. “Yes, um, is it possib

  • Beta Andres Rodriguez   Chapter 33

Emilia Abel - POVI was so distracted with what happened in the kitchen earlier that I didn't even see where I was going as I bumped into something hard while my legs got tangled, and just as I was about to hit the floor, I felt a pair of strong arms hold me and pull me back up. “What is running through that pretty head of yours.” my eyes moved up when I saw Jasper with a smirk on his face. I quickly stepped away as a nervous smile formed on my face. “I am sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going,” I told him as he grabbed my handbag from the floor and gave it to me. “I can see that. You look distracted.” “Well, this is the first time I am working, so everything is a little overwhelming,” I told him when the smile on his face faded away. Jasper knew exactly how I lived with Luis and he had also witnessed how Luis punished me a few times too. It was when Jasper tried to save me from a beating that made Luis furious and made him falsely accuse Jasper and throw him out of the pack.
