Chapter 3

I approached him and kissed him.

At first he didn't respond but after a few seconds he also responded to my kisses.

He wrapped his left arm around my waist and pull me closer to his body, I can feel his right arm touching my back. I wrap my hand around his neck to press his lips closer to mine. A moan escaped to my mouth when his lips went down to my neck.

“I cooked breakfast. Come on, eat with me. ” He said

I followed him as he walked to the table, there was food ready there. Bacon, Sausage and egg are placed in the table and there is also toasted bread.

He sat down and I frowned, there’s no rice! Does he think I'll be satisfied with this!?

"No rice?" I asked him as I sat down.

He stopped getting the food and looked at me, his eyebrows raised at me.

"Is it Obvious?" He said in a sarcastic way! "I don't cook rice for breakfast."

I just closed my eyes tightly because I was annoyed and just got something to eat. Our meal was quiet because no one intended to speak either especially since he was busy on the laptop which made me even more annoyed.

"Can you stop?" I suddenly said, holding the Spoon tightly and not looking at him.

I felt him stop what he was doing and looked at me, I looked at him wearing my bitch face.

"I don’t…….Just stop and eat properly."

I rolled my eyes and continue eating my meal, he closed the laptop and we started eating.

After we ate, I volunteered to wash but he said no, so I just prepared my things so I could leave.

"You're leaving?" He asked when he saw me walking towards the Front door. "Without saying goodbye?"

I looked at him “Is it obvious?” I mimicked him “What are you doing? You brought me here so you are the one who’s responsible to take me home, Duh! ”

"Yes, Madame!" I heard him say before I left, he followed me.

“Where will I drop you?” He asked

He was driving now and I was in the passenger seat just looking at what we were going through. Maybe I can come back here!

"at the bar."

"Oh are you going to drink?"

“No, stupid. I left my car there, remember? ” I rolled my eyes.

He just chuckled and continued driving, I'm really his happy pill. None of us spoke after that, I just looked again at what we were going through until we reached the Parking lot of the bar.

"Thanks!" I said

I got out of the car and didn't wait for him to open the door for me.

"Hey!" I was about to leave when he shouted, I looked at him. He is now leaning his back on the car, his hands crossed on his chest.

He walked slowly towards me and offer his hands for shake hands.

"Eros." I nodded "I'm Ayla."

When I introduced myself and accepted his hand, he just stared at me and didn't want to let go of my hand.

I squeezed his hand tightly, which made him frowned.

I smiled and turned my back, I was going to walk when he held my hand so I looked at him again.

“It's nice meeting you, Ms. Ayla. ” He said

“It's nice meeting you too, Mr. Eros. “I answered him and turned my back on him.

I got in the car and turned it on, I even waved at him before I finally left there. When I arrived home, I was greeted by the housemaids.

"Happy birthday, My Ayla.” Manang greets me when I she saw me. “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, Happy birthday Happy birthday happy birthday to you! ”

I smiled because of how cute Manang is, I walked over to her and hugged her, I was so blessed for having her to my life. I walk towards her and gave her a hug.

"Thank you, Manang." I said to her, she hugged me back. "Did my brother call?"

“Not yet, maybe later? When did your brother forget your birthday? ”

‘He already did’

'That's the word I want to answer to Manang for a long time, he forgot my birthday for a long time. Even before, he didn't attend, even if he greeted me, he still forgot.

I took the bag and placed it on the small couch in the room and I saw a picture frame on the table. I gasped and lifted it to fix.

It's an old photo. This is the photo taken on my sixth birthday. I am not mistaken because there is a date written under it.

I took the photo and stared at it deeply. I'm trying to remember what happened the day the photo was taken, But I can't bear to remember it. I repeatedly looked at the faces of the people in the photo.

The joy can be seen on their faces, Their smiles reach the sky. I stopped staring at the face of a young girl who was being hugged by a lady, The child is smiling in the photo and her hands is wrapped around the lady's neck, it was me. There was also a man there and he was holding the shoulder of a young boy. That's probably Richard. Manang lordess is also in the photo, smiling while holding the hand of another child to her left. I can't see the child's face clearly in the photo because That side was too blurry, the photo also had dirt and it hit the child's face so I couldn't see it properly.

"December 10, 1998" I whispered when I saw the date written on the picture.

I sighed, I don't know what happened to our family or to me. As I get older, I feel like I'm slowly losing what I used to be, The people I love and the people I was with during the happy times when I was young are slowly disappearing.

I touched my cheek when I felt a hot liquid falling from my eyes. I wiped it and returned the photo to its previous position.

I don’t know what I did wrong to them, I don’t remember committing a crime to someone, especially to my family. But the way they stay away from me I felt like a serial killer that should not be approached.

That was my last photo with my family, so even though I feel mad to them, I still put it in the places where I used to stay.

I wondered who’s that girl was, was it possible that Manang had a child and that the little girl in the picture or was it one of my peers who was the daughter of a maid then.

I asked manang a few times about that but she couldn't answer my question, I also tried to ask the housemaiss who witnessed that birthday celebration but they also couldn't answer my question properly.
