Ellie.
“Oh, baby! You’re taking it so well,” Alpha Vito, my mate groaned with a thrust, but the she-wolf underneath him wasn't me. I was forced to watch, as he made love to another she-wolf.
My heart jacked, intense pain washing all over my body as I watched them once again, wondering when this torture would end.
“You fuck me so good. I think I’m about to…” he groaned louder, this time taking a fistful of her blond hair, pulling it back. There was no sign of guilt for me at all on his face.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. A mate was supposed to cherish and respect you regardless of background or status, but mine hated me with passion, all because I wasn’t what he wanted, and She was.
A rather loud cry of pleasure filled the room, and I momentarily shut my eyes in anticipation of the increased pain I knew would follow. As anticipated, my blood ran cold and my body went limp as I fell to the ground, groaning in agony; weak, tired, and completely done with the misery that was my life.
“This bitch!” I heard Vito growl, and I instantly knew he was referring to me, but I couldn’t move, couldn’t run to save myself, or cry for help. That was the consequence of a toxic mate bond, pain, and weakness that was enough to render a strong human dead. In my case, it was worse because my mate was an Alpha, far bigger and stronger than regular wolves.
“How dare you close your eyes?” His thunderous voice and heavy footsteps approached me, hovering just above my collapsed body.
“I told you to keep your stupid eyes open, did I not?” His question arrived with a kick in my ribs, cutting my air supply.
“Answer me! You retard! Did I tell you to keep your eyes open or not?”
My lack of a reply seemed to anger Vito even more than closing my eyes did, as in the next moment, I felt a stinging pain on the side of my body, and the sound of a whip echoing through the room.
“Vito please,” I begged weakly, forcing my eyes open as much as I could to look at him. She giggled from the short distance between us on the bed, and anger washed over me.
“Get up!” Vito ordered, but I couldn’t do as he said because it would take a few seconds more for the pain of his actions to subside.
“I said get up, you freak. Don’t make me repeat myself!” He warned, his dark brows furrowing with intense madness in his dark eyes.
I forced myself up, knowing very well that it would be better to stand up now than to receive another kick in my ribs or worse, another beating.
Rage burned through my gaze as I took in my mate's appearance; angry and completely naked, like the wolf on his bed, Nadia, and I was unable to control myself. Mustering all the courage and saliva I could manage, I spat on him.
“Just end this! Reject me so I can go my way!” I yelled with hot tears roaming down my face, hoping he would snap and do as I said. I had had enough of living as a slave in a pack I should be anything but, tired of being deprived of basic life amenities, and even the opportunity to go to school because Vito thought I wasn’t worth it.
“Shut up! How dare you command me! You weak bitch!” Vito couldn't believe what he had heard. He took the whip again, but this time, it was caught in Nadia’s pull.
“Be careful Vito. Don’t you dare do it! You know the King’s command. You can’t reject her,” she emerged from the bed with a sly smile, her naked body glistening with sweat under the ray of sun that infiltrated the room
“Don’t forget he’s coming tomorrow. She has to appear unharmed,” the words rolled off her lips lazily, but her brown eyes burned with anger.
And again Vito's angry eyes turned to me, he had to admit that Alpha King hates werewolves who don't take their mates seriously. When Alpha King found out how Vito had abused me, I was sure that Vito the asshole would lose his Alpha title.
I laughed, mocking his cowardice, but Vito no longer fell for it as he pinched my chin and spat at me. “Bitch, you should be grateful for your luck.” He said angrily.
“Come, darling, let’s get out of here. I know a great place that will make us more comfortable.” Nadia came over to where we stood to calm him, her tongue sliding over his chest, and as Vito tried to enter her, she pushed him away and walked over to me.
“And you, make sure to clean this place. Make sure it sparkles, or I will make you wish for what's worse than today's.” She said in a threatening tone. picking up her clothes that lay on the ground, along with Vito’s, hooking her arms around his as they exited the room.
I fell to the ground as more tears rolled down my face. I might’ve been brave enough to spit on Vito, but I knew deep down that if Nadia had not said something, I’d be lying in the pool of my blood, wishing I had kept my mouth shut.
I hated Nadia with everything in me, but I was grateful to her that I got to live through another day.
I moved slowly, wiping my face as I started cleaning the room, taking out the messed up sheet filled with the releases of both their desires, telling myself it didn’t matter since I did not love Vito, but it did matter.
I wish I had the guts to betray him, to get mixed up with another wolf so our bond would be canceled, but I couldn’t. I was not brave enough, plus I didn’t know the type of punishment that I would face if I did that.
When I was done cleaning, I headed back to my house. The door creaked loudly when I opened it, the missing parts of the house greeting me as I walked in. It used to be my favorite place on earth. It belonged to my parents who built it with their hard-earned money and love, but since Vito took over our pack, he ran it to the ground, destroying everything precious about it. Even so, I still held a deep affection for it because it was the only place I could truly call home.
I went up to my room, which used to be my parent's room, and took the last surviving portrait of them, hugging it tightly to my chest as fresh tears graced my face.
“I swear to you, Mother, Father, I will not die. I will live and seek revenge against everyone who has harmed me. I’ll do whatever it takes to rebuild this pack. Just watch,” I sobbed the words. Then I remembered Nadia said something about the Lycan King visiting.
The tears dried from my face almost instantly as a plan formed in my head. This was the perfect opportunity to expose Vito’s misdeeds and hypocrisy to the Lycan King.
“Just watch…”
Archer. The sound of a heavy punch hitting the air echoed in my ear, louder than the sound of my pounding heart as adrenaline washed over me. Theo, my beta, cast me a proud look because, for the first time in two decades, he almost got me.When I wasn’t passing decrees, listening in on complaints from one alpha to the other, or traveling, I was sparring with Theo. He was the only one strong enough to contend with me. He was fast, smart—especially in combat—and most of all willing to learn. Though even with his strength, he never held a candle to me.We weren’t friends, like most Alphas and Beta, but I spent a lot of my time with him enough to call him my person because he was good at taking orders and getting jobs done.“Hm, eager to hit me, I see,” I flexed my shoulders, fixing my gaze on his fists to dictate his next move.Theo didn't hesitate, I knew he'd been waiting for the chance to be able to hit me, and I would make it as impossible for him to get anywhere near me as I had in
Ellie. My eyes fluttered open, catching the ray of sunlight that infiltrated the room.Strange…My window was on the left side, not the right, and the position of the bed was off, but most especially, there was a throbbing pain at the back of my head, and unconscious awareness at the back of my mind that something was off.I shut my eyes with a groan, turning to my other side, but paused when my groan echoed loudly, deeper than the actual sound. Then I felt it; a hot breath on my face.My eyes shot open as I sprang to life, watching with confused wide eyes the body beside me—a male wolf—stare at me with identical confusion.“What are—”“Who are—”We said at the same time. I blinked a few times, watching him in pure and utter confusion, with no recollection of why he was on the same bed as I was, with his naked chest on display.I’d seen him before, cleaning Vito’s house. He was an omega just like me, but we never exchanged pleasantries or looks, yet I was in bed with him.“Why are you
Ellie. My brain was in overdrive.I could hardly believe that in one simple moment, I had just met the Lycan King and Vito was no longer my mate. I rejected him and freed myself from his torture. I once thought that if there ever came a time that Vito was not my mate anymore, I would escape the pack and become a rogue, probably join the humans and live my life under the radar, and now that thought was within reach... or so I thought."I'm taking her with me."I blinked when I heard the words, unable to believe my ears.I had returned to Vito's house with him, His Majesty, and His Majesty's beta, and I was forced into a room while they talked in the living room, but me being me, I opened the door a little, peeking through the small space to see and hear clearly. His Majesty had said the words simply like it wasn't my death wish. My heart thrummed loudly in my chest as my eyes darted from wolf to wolf, trying to confirm if what he said was real or just a fragment of my imagination."But
Ellie.I sat frozen in the car, unable to move a muscle, not with the intense brown eyes staring daggers at me. We sat opposite each other in the car, his aura as dark as the shirt he had on. I tried my best to keep my eyes off him, but the intoxicating scent of him kept pulling me back unconsciously.“I suspect he’s our mate, Ellie, but isn’t it uncommon to have a second chance mate this quick?” my wolf, Ru, asked, but I shut her out quickly. I was wondering the same thing before she spoke, and I needed to know what that meant for me, and my future, being the Lycan King’s mate, but I couldn’t dare ask. The Lycan King was not Vito, they were two different wolves with different authorities, and if the rumors I’d heard about the king were true, then he was very strict, merciless, and straight-up evil.“Do not think for even a second that he will believe anything you say,” Vito warned me earlier, but sitting opposite him like this, I wondered if he would’ve believed me had things gone my
Ellie. To my surprise, he did listen, raising his body from mine.Quickly, I gathered what was left of my dress, using the tattered pieces to cover myself, my eyes darting around the area, scouting for the easiest place to run to, to escape from him, but the scent of him infiltrated my nose, rendering me a hostage to his pull.Silence followed us up to my dark room, but the second we stepped in, he pinned me against the closed door, as if he sensed my plan to escape, dark eyes boring into me before he dipped his head into my neck. A breath escaped my lips the moment his lips touched my skin for the second time, suddenly feeling hot all over. The sensation was new to me since I never did anything of the sort with Vito. So I just stood there, while succumbing to the forceful domination of his lips on my neck and chest.“Touch me.”The command was thick and unsteady, but I obeyed, placing my trembling hands rather slowly on his back, only to remain stunned when he made hungry sounds in t
Ellie. The first thing I felt when my eyes fluttered open was extreme soreness in the lower part of my body.I couldn’t explain to my new mate that it was my first time because it would only confirm to him that I was a liar since he strongly believed that I had sex with a wolf that wasn’t my mate. My chest burned with the memory of the night before and how despite his roughness with me, I found pleasure in it all, but also because of his statement afterwards.“You will be the Queen’s handmaiden and my mistress.”He had said with no thought of my feelings whatsoever. To him, I was nothing more than an unworthy mate, just like Vito thought.“Did you not hear what I said? Quit spacing around like a freak and answer me!” A loud voice broke into my thoughts, with angry blue eyes staring daggers at me. Head Maid Emma. I knew nothing about her other than the whispers I had heard that she had been the King’s maid since he was just a boy. The omega maids speaking about her mentioned that she w
Archer.“And so the packs finances has relatively increased by five percent…”Lee, my gamma and my trusted manager was saying, but my mind drifted off to a certain black-haired omega and the feel of her body under mine. The darkness did nothing to hide her sultry body from me, or the look in her eyes when I had her reach climax.Fuck! It wasn’t my intention to have her like that–or at all–but it was a full moon, and the pull to her was so strong it was impossible to ignore. I had indeed gone to the servants quarters but I had no plans to go up to her room or seek her out, but then she came down to me and I lost control.A sigh escaped my lips as I ran my fingers through my hair, tugging the roots slightly.“Are you okay, Your Majesty?” Lee’s voice momentarily snapped me out of my daze, but when I nodded my head, signaling for him to keep going, the thoughts of her came back to hunt me.“You almost devoured her last night,” Ian snickered, angering me.I couldn’t deny that the intimacy
Ellie.I’m doomed.I bracketed my head between my hands, recalling what happened earlier. Lunch was a disaster, and it was all my fault. Scratch that, my existence in the castle was a disaster. It felt like I couldn’t catch a break. My hands trembled, as well as the rest of my body, waiting in anticipation for what was to come. His Majesty had instructed me to return to my room and remain there until he came to give me my punishment. It had been seven hours already. Which meant I missed the rest of my duties as a maid.I could almost hear the insults and curses thrown at me from outside my bedroom door by the other maids, and I knew it would only make my stay here even more unbearable, but there was nothing I could do about it. I was more worried and scared of His Majesty’s arrival.Truthfully, I couldn’t understand him and all the mixed signs I’d been getting from him. When we arrived he declared I wasn’t his mate, and even threatened to punish anyone who so much as harbors the idea
Ellie. The tension in the air was palpable for more reasons than one, and try as I might to detach myself from the situation I was in, I couldn’t.I was sat in the same car as Archer, beside him, while he spread his legs, and I tightened mine to keep away from making any sort of contact with him. I’d originally sat at the front seat, next to the driver, but when Archer arrived, he demanded I sit behind with him, thus putting me in the situation I was now in.Neither of us said a word to the other because there was nothing to say since we rode as King and guard. Honestly, even if we didn’t, there’d still be nothing to say. He had made his decision, and I made mine; which was to focus on my duty and nothing else, just like I had all those weeks ago.The journey to Coral Pack was a long, rocky one, which I didn’t expect. I mean I expected the ‘long’ part but not the ‘rocky’ party. It wasn’t that the road was entirely bad, but it wasn’t leveled, allowing for exaggerated movements on the c
Ellie.“Hey, why does your eyes look so…lifeless? Didn’t you sleep last night?” Julie took my arm as we walked to the hall, where our graduation was to take place.Julie had sent a dress–the button-down dress–to me late last night with the help of an omega staff, and even with how beautiful it looked on me, with my hair laid down, I guess it wasn’t enough to distract Julie from the bags under my eyes.“I did,” I opened my eyes wide, “I guess I can’t wait for everything to be over, so I can leave here,” I told her.“Well, I’m glad you feel that way because I was informed earlier that you, Tristian, and I would perform a graduation task today after the ceremony,” She said.“Alpha Tristian? How is it possible he’s graduating with us? I barely saw him attend lectures,” I tilted my head to the side.“Tristian took night lectures, he arranged with the instructors because of his busy life, I guess,” she said with a one-sided shrug and I nodded.“What is the task though? The one we’re to perf
The atmosphere and everyone’s initial opinion of me changed drastically after the decree was passed and sent out two days ago. Everywhere I went, wolves said hi to me, and even tried becoming friends with me. The Omegas working as staff in the villa, always did things for me, like giving me an extra portion of food and offering to clean my room. I can’t lie, I liked it, because it was the first time I was receiving such treatment.“Earth to Ellie,” Julie snapped her fingers in my face. I shook my head and blinked immediately, an instinctive reaction, as I returned to reality.Julie and I were currently looking through her dresses for our graduation, which was to take place the next day. Julie was kind enough to lend me something of hers after I told her that most of my stuff was still in my former pack–of course, I left out the fact that I used to be mated to the alpha of that pack and basically, everything that happened afterward. Julie believed Archer took me from my former pack bec
Ellie.“I can’t believe we’re leaving here soon,” Julie said with mock sadness, and a sigh to follow.“You say that but it seems like you’re happy to leave,” I returned, nudging her side, as we walked to combat class. It had been a week and two days since the forest incident, and four days left until the end of our training camp. In that time, Jon and the others that terrorized me were summoned out of camp. Lizzy and I didn’t say one word to each other, but she no longer bothered me, and with Julie’s help, I was able to focus well on everything we were being taught. It wasn’t lost on me that I had to put two times the effort everyone else was putting in, to get the same result, but I didn’t see it as a punishment. If anything, I quite liked it, because it pushed me past my limits.“No, I’m happy I don’t need to do any more combat classes. It is the bane of my existence,” Julie said with a sigh. I responded with a roll of my eyes.“What?” She dragged, amusement touching her lips.“If a
Ellie."Turn around," Archer ordered, standing up, and I complied, feeling the weight of his stare on my back."Bend over the bed." Despite his injury, his dominance radiated off him in waves. My heart raced as I leaned over, my hands gripping the edge of the hospital bed. I felt cool air on my neck as he leaned forward, the anticipation making my pulse quicken."Why did you come here dressed like this, Ellie?" Archer's voice was a whisper in my ear. His good hand slid up my thigh, pushing the dress higher."It was the only way I was allowed into the hospital," I whispered, my voice trembling with excitement. His hand came down on my ass with a sharp smack, the sting making me gasp. He alternated between soft caresses and hard spanks, each strike sending a jolt of pleasure through my body. My skin tingled, the pain and pleasure blending into a delicious sensation."Do you like that, Ellie ?" His tone was mocking, but it only made me wetter."Mmmh, yes," I moaned, pushing my hips back
Ellie.I pressed a hand over my lips to keep me from screeching in pure shock.“I asked you a question, Ellie,” he drawled lazily, the rich baritone of his voice sending shivers up and down my spine.“I–” I started, but the footsteps stopped right in front of the door outside, which was about to send me into a mini heart attack until Archer pulled me towards the hospital bed.“Lie down and stay quiet,” he ordered. I gulped, eyes darting from him to the door, but I joined him in anyway. The bed was warm and smelled like him, masculine and minty. I didn’t fail to notice the way my body melted into his own, as he wrapped an arm around my waist, then covered my head with the covers, so I was left staring at his fully clothed wide chest. I took a big whiff of his scent, letting myself remember why I liked being next to him.Mere seconds later, there was a small knock on the door, and whoever it was opened the door without waiting for a confirmation. I gulped hard, my heart beating frantica
Ellie.Loud and eerie clear, the sound of flesh being torn filled my ears, but it must’ve been the shock that made it possible for me to not feel any pain. No, something is not right. I told myself and peered my eyes open, only to be shocked to see that not only was I in one full piece, but the one who had been torn was none other than His Majesty, Archer. I stood frozen, wondering how the heck things turned out the way they did.In one motion, Archer turned, released his claws, and pierced the monster’s head, taking out its brain. The monster released a very loud shriek, as blood poured out of it’s head, and then nearly every hole in its body, before it fell to the ground“Hold on to me! You’re safe now,” Archer then turned to me and muttered, hugging my head to his chest.“You’re safe now,” he repeated over and over until I had enough and released myself from his hold. He got hurt while saving me, but he was only worried about me.“You’re hurt too!” I reminded him, but he didn’t res
Ellie.“Is it just me or is something definitely wrong with this place?” Julie asked from beside me. I nodded frantically. Something was horribly wrong with the place, and that something wasn’t just the eerie feeling of the atmosphere, but the smell. The forest was filled with a harsh smell of fresh blood mixed with something else, something dangerous, but I couldn’t quite place my finger on it.We had spent at least five minutes in the forest, and with each passing moment, the place seemed even more off, like there weren’t any animals, which made the forest quiet. The harsh smell was more like a confirmation.“Look, we need to leave here. Carly just said something but she’s not sure so I’m not gonna repeat it,” she said with a deep breath.I pursed my lips, wondering who Carly was. Julie must’ve sensed my confusion;“Carly is my wolf,” She explained and I nodded in understanding.“Whatever, we need to leave.”“I agree that this place seems very weird, but what if it’s all part of the
Ellie.Wrong.The only experience in combat I had, was being ambushed by multiple wolves and somehow making it out alive. I wanted to tell Julie, but the combat instructor suddenly appeared, cutting my words short.I was certain I wouldn’t know what real combat was like even if it hit me in the face, but looking at all the hype-up wolves punching, ducking, and kicking, I realized I did know, and I was very bad at it.The instructor had told me to stand aside and watch since he taught most of the moves while I was…resting, and by just watching them, I knew I wouldn’t be able to do a thing. It was true that I had been lucky a few times, and my wolf worked tirelessly to protect me, as well as other wolves in my life, but where strength met experience, I was talentless, and I feared that if the other wolves saw how weak I was, they would use the opportunity to pounce on me again.“Then do your best. You work well under pressure, and if you don’t want everyone here to bully you again, you
