Chapter 88

After what seemed like ages, Barbara finally stood to her feet and made her way to the door.

However, she stopped right in her tracks and threw a sharp gaze at Emily, who remained stiff and blank on the bed.

“I presume that you still have my rules on your head”, Barbara scoffed and let out a wicked smile.

“Stay away from my husband. Rule number what is that?” Barbara asked Emily, who gulped down hard.

“Four”.

“Good! A husband is still a husband no matter what. If I discover a breach in my rules, you would be amazed by what a friend can do to a friend”, Barbara threatened and broke into a loud and hysterical laughter.

She walked out of Emily’s room and closed the door behind her, smiling mischievously and heading back to her quarters.

Barbara had a strong intuition that pointed at Emily. However, Emily looked so innocent and naive that for a moment, her mind kicked against her intuition.
