Chapter 78

“Wait”, Richard said with a confused look on his face as he pushed Emily aside and walked back into the room.

He recalled that Barbara had once told him that having a child would damage her looks. But then, he never imagined that she took it to heart.

“How do you know that Barbara makes use of contraceptives?” Richard asked.

“I found it in her room. I’m sorry I went in there”, Emily apologized, with her head lowered to the floor.

“Please, don’t be sad”, she pleaded, pulling him into a warm hug.

Richard laughed aloud, with tears brimming in his eyes and his blood boiling in rage.

Barbara had done a lot to him, but this was the worst of all.
