“I’m sorry, are you still angry at me?” Richard asked softly, taking slow steps towards Emily, who stood at the balcony.

Her eyes were fixed to the beach area where different people were having fun.

Tears welled up in her eyes as the wind danced together with her hair.

“Emily?” Richard called again, placing his hands on her waist and swirling her around to face him.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to act in the way I did yesterday. I was only off after I spoke with Barbara”, Richard apologized again, peering intently into her eyes that were mixed with both fury and confusion.

Emily took in a deep breath and gulped down hard. She had no right to be angry at him because she was only a mere maid.

“I have no right to be mad at you”, Emily whispered, with her eyes lowered to the ground.

“Of course you have a right to be. I apologize for acting that way yesterday”, Richard apologized genuinely, placing quick kisses on her neck.
