“He wouldn’t tell me where he is going to”, Barbara said as she gulped down a glass of whiskey.

“You know, it’s frustrating! I mean, I’m his wife and I demand to know his whereabouts. He took the maid with him too, and that’s the worst. It leaves me with thoughts of what they may be up to”, she scoffed and poured in more drink into the cup.

“But you said you don’t care. You never cared”, Bianca smiled calmly as she glared at Barbara intently.

She was Barbara’s closest friend and the one-person Barbara runs to whenever she wanted to pour out her heart.

“Barbara, you told me that you aren't concerned about Richard or what he does. You told me how you have forgotten him because of how boring he is. I remember vividly”, Bianca added, trying so hard to understand the point her friend was trying to prove.

Unlike Barbara who liked men and couldn’t wait to jump into marriage, she was quite reserved and loved her space.
