Chapter 155

Emily never took Richard’s words to heart. She was certain that he only said that to please her or quench the anger she bore against him.

The next days following Richard’s decision were hectic and complicated for him.

After getting discharged from the hospital, he was informed of the latest news story about him.

Apparently, Barbara’s lover had gone to several blogs with untrue information of how violent Richard was.

Barbara, on the other hand, was unperturbed with the turn out of events. It was clear that Richard would have sent her lover to jail after gaining consciousness, and that was something she would never allow.

“You don’t care about what the public think about our marriage?” Richard asked with a slight scoff.

Barbara shrugged lightly and ignored him. That was what she always did; make him look as though he were a ghost.

“I do care about public thoughts. However, I won’t keep mute and wait until you take the first move”, Barbara replied, without a bit of remorse.
