Chapter 156

Barbara returned from a vacation to meet the serenity of the house. The house was empty that any slightest noise could be heard.

She knew where Richard had gone to, and thoughts of that enraged her.

On her way to the main apartment, her eyes darted to Emily’s previous quarters and as though she were being controlled by a force, she walked towards there.

Her eyes turned cold as memories of Emily and Richard returned to her head. She hated everything about her, and she could swear that the next time they crossed paths with each other won’t be funny.

She turned the door knob and sauntered into the room, feeling greatly pleased that she didn’t meet the soft but threatening gaze of Emily.

Inasmuch as Emily appeared quiet and innocent, she stood as a great threat to Barbara.

“Empty as I like”, Barbara muttered in delight, with her eyes roaming around the room that once belonged to her maid.
