Chapter 154

Richard woke up to a familiar face. Inasmuch as his eyes swirled terribly, that was a face he could always tell apart.

“Emily?” Richard asked as he made to stand to his feet.

Emily kept mute and stared at him intently, taking in his facial features and smiling calmly inside her heart.

“I knew that something went wrong with you. I kept calling, but you never took the call”, Emily replied calmly and took in a deep breath.

Richard placed his hands on his forehead as he tried to recall the last events that happened before the present situation.

“Where am I?” He whispered under his breath while Emily lowered her eyes to the floor.

It was hard to maintain eye contact with him, especially because it reminded her of how Richard had indirectly called her a murderer. However, she was still in love with him and that covered her other feeling.
