Richard stayed instantly abuzz. He glared at Clara, who awaited a response.

“What do you mean?” He questioned, peering piercingly into her confused eyes.

Emily took in a deep breath and darted her eyes to the ground.

She knew that she had no right to get mad at him for laying with his wife, but a deep part of her heart stung her so bad.
