CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Tick! Tick!! Tick!!!

The clicking sound of the wall clock filled the air. Or maybe it's the time bomb in my head counting down to the time I'll finally explode. The air in the study was so suffocating that I was taking mild gasps of air.

I was staring at some files but couldn't really make out what I was reading from the letters.

Xander stood beside me, his hands hanging loosely by his side.

While staring at the letters, my mind kept drifting to Hazel. She is terrified of me. Now she is never going to mate with me. I saw the horror in her eyes when she looked at me. It made me wish I would resurrect the dead man and kill him all over again for making my mate terrified of me.

That plan was to cut off his head, plunge his eyes out and place them on display in front of the mansion, for I know, rumors will spread like wild fire to the pack that sent him.
