Chapter 80: The Surprise

Ava's POV

Miguel and I had spent the last two weeks visiting the cemetery after that one emotional evening. It was something like a routine because I felt bad that I had never visited them all these years until now.

I felt obliged to make it up to them, so I decided to come often and chat with the headstones as everyone did. I was not alone in this.

Miguel had been persistent enough to tag along each time, and honestly, It was pretty nice being there with him than being there alone. I was glad to have him by my side.

There was also something remarkable about him coming with me besides it being comfortable —being there with him gave our relationship more depth than I could ever put into words.

Our worlds were constantly entangled into one, which was relieving in many ways. Miguel had seen me in all shades that even Fernando had never experienced in all his years of knowing me.
