Chapter 83: Trouble in Paradise

Miguel's POV

I put my arm around Ava, “Well, now that you've seen for yourself. What do you think?” I arched my brow, pulling Ava closer into my arms and brushing my hand through her hair.

Sophia smiled, “I think you guys look great together.”

I swirled my head to Ava, “Did you hear that? We look great together,” I brushed a hand down her hair and kissed her lips again slowly.

“Oh!” Perez groaned, coming down the stairs, “You guys should get a room or something.”

I kissed her for a minute longer before breaking the kiss with a loud pop sound, only to irritate Perez further.

I turned to him the minute I pulled back. He scowled as our eyes met, and I found it gladdening. Surely, all was right in this world.

“Maybe we should find you a woman, Perez. You're getting cranky. You probably need your engine oil,” I teased, and the guards laughed.

“Very funny,” he smirked, “But I'll pass. Don't want to catch whatever you two have,” he rolled his eyes, and we all laughed.

“So, are you ready?”
