IT WAS ALL A MISTAKE

LAWRENCE’S POV

I exhaled deeply before I pulled into the building.

“Hello, sir,”

“Welcome sir,”

“Congratulations sir,”

I got several bows and greetings as I made my way to Veronica’s office.

I guess the news of how Williams Motors ousted Zen motors must have travelled around. I had seen the news in the morning when Jessie was driving me to work. It made the front paper of the top magazines and newspapers of the country.

When I asked Jessie if it was necessary that they revealed I handled the project, he had said, “Chairman Williams personally instructed that it be mentioned.”

Well, I was pleased with the whole thing except the attention. The moment the elevator jerked and stopped at the last floor, the door was opened and I was faced with a line of the officials of Williams Fashion company.

“Welcome Director Lawrence.” Director Liam greeted baring his teeth.

“Director Liam, you don’t have to welcome me.” I said stepping out of the elevator, not pleased.
