AVOIDING HIM 2

VERONICA’S POV

Okay, I might be a little childish but I really had wanted something, anything at all to stop me from going over to my parents with Lawrence.

Hell, Matilda is going to so taunt me and I feared what father and mother will say when they saw us. And so, I dragged my feet all through the time we prepared. But not even the heavens helped me.

I knew Lawrence waited but it didn’t make me hurry up, in fact, I wished he would get mad at me for delaying and not wish to go anymore but I was shocked to my bones when he said it was alright.

The way he starred at me as I walked down the stairs caused some silly butterflies dancing in my belly.

But I knew better than to let him notice it.

And when he walked ahead of me and held the door open for me to get in, I realized how much Lawrence had changed. It wasn’t because of the door he held open for me nor how he starred at me fixedly back inside the house, but everything about him screamed change.

This new him was doing things to me. T
