ELENA

I walked into the cafeteria, well after lunch was done, and employees had already started to disperse. Some greeted me, some didn't. I just nodded at the ones that bothered to greet and smiled, even at the ones that didn't bother.

I actually didn't care whether they did or not as I was only interested in one thing, which was the man sitting at the side of the cafeteria.

I had chosen for us to meet here so it would not seem like anything suspicious. I was trying my best not to start any kind of scandal.

And I knew that some employees chose to eat out, instead of in the company's own cafeteria, so the chance of seeing us in any restaurant around was high asf.

"Hey," I smiled at Jason as I sat opposite him. I had actually had my lunch with Jason and Tyler. The latter had shown up in the office with four packs of McDonald's, and I had never been so happy about eating something from a fastfood as he had invited Jane, much to her chagrin, and we had actually had a good time.
