That afternoon, I got Evan to hand the divorce papers to Zach. I changed the locks at home, too.

Then, I went straight to my parents' place to tell them about Zach's situation. I only told them about how Zach had an affair. I did not dare to mention that Zach had killed me once. I was afraid my parents would not be able to take it.

Thankfully, my father was still influential. He quickly took back Zach's power and fired all the people Zach had gotten to his side.

I had to give it to Zach. He went missing right at that moment. However, two days later, he came to my house, kneeling and begging for forgiveness.

"Lucy, I was wrong. It was all Melody's fault for seducing me. I couldn't ignore her because she was your colleague. That was how she took advantage of me. It was all her fault," he said while knocking on the door.

There were even tears streaming down his face.

"Lucy, I'm sorry. I will never fall for another woman again. I'll only love you in this life. Lucy, our baby is about
