Chapter 24

Maya's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, ready to start another week of school. I take a second to shed the sleep from my brain, my eyes greeted by the sunlight.

Not wanting to wake up, I decided to burrow myself into the soft sheets for a little longer.

Along with going to school, attempting to keep up with my social life, and spending time with Ethan, it was safe to say I felt as if my life was starting to come together - which nonetheless, was a good thing.

The alarm rings, telling me to get my lazy bum off the bed and ready for school. Apart from not wanting to be late, my other motivation to get out of bed was the fact that I could see Ethan at school.

From upstairs, I could hear the metallic clatter of pots and pans, indicating that Mom was making breakfast. Another fifteen minutes or so of getting ready, I take a final check of approval by looking at myself in the mirror and head downstairs for breakfast.
