Alpha Enzo's silence was more menacing than any outburst could have been. He leaned back in his chair, the leather creaking softly. His eyes blazed with fury, his jaw clenched tightly as he stared down the rogue who had the audacity to return alone, leaving behind the rest of his fallen comrades. The rogue's tattered clothes were soaked with blood, some of it his, most of it belonging to the others who hadn't survived. He looked terrified, as though he knew the moment he arrived that failure would cost him dearly.

Alpha Enzo slammed his fist down on the wooden table, the sound reverberating through the chamber. “What do you mean all of them failed? You’re telling me Damien wiped out an entire squad of rogues, and you’re the only one who managed to crawl back?” His voice was low, but filled with barely controlled rage.

The rogue winced at the force of the Alpha's anger but tried to explain. “Alpha, I swear—I’ve never seen anything like it. Alpha Damien and his warriors...they’re ruthle

Stephanie paced the length of her living room, She was a bundle of nerves, after losing communication with Damien two days after he left. A part of her feared something had happened to him but deep down, her wolf who since after Kayla disappeared started to resurface though briefly, reassured her, whispering that he was still alive. Despite that small comfort, the silence gnawed at her. She had expected at least a word, something to hold on to, but there had been nothing. What surprised her even more was Caleb. He had taken on a maturity she had never seen before, acting like a little protector, always there when she needed him, offering quiet support in his own way. It was as though he sensed how fragile she felt and had made it his duty to hold her together. Every time she looked at him, her heart swelled with gratitude. Her father, though, remained in the dark. She hadn’t told him what had happened, fearing the implications of human involvement in their world. Too many lives were a

Chris leaned forward, his eyes boring into Ava as he crossed his arms over his chest. His voice simmered with anger. "Why did you poison my drink, Ava?" he asked, his words cutting through the silence in the room like a blade. "Why did you want me dead?"Ava shifted in her chair, her eyes darting nervously around the room. She was clearly uncomfortable, but she tried to mask it with a defiant sneer. “Why do you think, Chris? You were always in the way.”"In the way of what?" Chris pressed, leaning in closer. "What were you hoping to gain by killing me? Did you think no one would notice? Who are you working with, Ava? Because I know you. You're not clever enough to pull this off alone."Her eyes narrowed at the insult. “Don’t you dare underestimate me? I don’t need anyone’s help to get what I want.”"You're lying," Chris said coldly, his jaw clenched. "You weren't smart enough to poison me without help. So tell me, Ava. Who else is involved? Who are you working with?"Ava’s nostrils fl

Ava scowled at Stephanie, her lips curled in disdain. “You’re nothing but a whore,” she spat, the venom in her words vicious.Without hesitation, Stephanie lashed out, delivering a hard blow to Ava’s face. The impact was swift and brutal, splitting Ava’s lip. Blood dripped down her chin as hot tears welled in her eyes. For a moment, there was silence. Then Ava, no longer able to maintain control, erupted. “You think that’s going to stop me? I paid that woman—the one who helped lure Kayla out of the café. I had it all planned. Kayla was just the start. I wanted to kill Caleb too!” Ava’s voice was sharp and trembling, almost unhinged. “But then your precious Alpha Damien found out about Madame. He found out the truth about what was happening at the Omega Pack and my plans to kill you and the despicable pups growing inside you. That’s why I had to run. But now, I’m going to destroy you, Stephanie. I know where Kayla is right now!” Stephanie’s heart raced. She leaned forward, her voice a

Chris sat silently beside Stephanie as she sat slumped in the corner, still trembling from her sudden shifting and the weight of the revelation of Alpha Enzo’s betrayal, Ava’s cold confession, and the gnawing fear of what had become of Damien and Kayla. For a while, Chris said nothing. He knew Stephanie needed space, needed time to process the flood of emotions. Her breath was shaky, her eyes staring blankly at the floor. The room was still, the faint echoes of Ava’s screams long gone. Only the sound of Stephanie’s quiet sobs broke the silence. Finally, Chris spoke, his voice gentle and low. “You know…something positive came out of all this.”Stephanie lifted her head slightly, looking at him through tear-streaked eyes, her expression both of disbelief and exhaustion. “Positive? Are you serious?” Her voice was brittle, her hands shaking as she wiped her cheeks. “What could be positive about any of this, Chris? I don’t know where my daughter is. Damien might be—” Her voice broke, unabl

Stephanie stood up, her eyes still red from crying. “What’s the plan?” she asked Chris, her voice was steady but there was an undertone of exhaustion.Chris gave her a long look, his brow furrowed in concern. “We need to move carefully,” he said, glancing around to ensure they weren’t overheard. “If we’re not discreet, words could get out, and that’s the last thing we need right now. Enzo’s already ahead of us, and if he catches wind of any of this, it could put Kayla, Damien, and the others in even more danger.”Stephanie clenched her fists, her body tense. “I’m not going to sit around while my daughter is out there with him,” she muttered, her voice wavering slightly. “I can’t just—”Chris placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a firm but understanding look. “I know you want to take action right now, Steph, but you need rest. You haven’t slept well in days, and you’re running on fumes. Go home, eat something, and get some sleep. We’ll reconvene later, and I’ll fill you in on ever

As the helicopter soared over the landscape, Chris peered out through the glass, watching the vast wilderness of the werewolf territory beneath him. Dense forests stretched out like a sea of green, interspersed with the occasional rocky hills and rivers that cut through the land like silver veins. The air was crisp, even up here, with the scent of pine and damp earth carried by the wind. Unfortunately he couldn't enjoy the scenario before him as danger loomed. He reached for his phone and dialed Alpha Kai’s number. The line buzzed twice before a deep, gravelly voice answered. "Chris," Alpha Kai said, surprise evident in his tone. "I didn’t expect to hear from you. Everything okay?""Not exactly," Chris replied, keeping his voice calm. "I’m on my way to see you. I need to speak to you in person—alone, with your trusted men."There was a brief pause on the other end. “Alright,” Alpha Kai said slowly. “I’ll make sure we’re ready.”By the time they reached the north of the werewolf territ

Chris smirked as he shook Alpha Kai’s hand one last time. "Thanks again for your support," he said, a gleam of determination in his eyes. "We won’t forget this."Alpha Kai nodded. "Just be sure you hit Enzo hard. There’s no room for mistakes."With a final nod, Chris left five of his guards behind at Crescent Pack. “In case things go sideways and I can’t return,” Chris explained to them. “Coordinate with Alpha Kai. Stay sharp and be ready to meet wherever I instruct.”The guards saluted, their faces set with determination. Chris gave them a reassuring nod before boarding the helicopter. His next destination was Thame Pack, further north, but a good distance away from Crescent. As they soared through the sky, the landscape beneath him turned from the dense, lush forests of Crescent Pack to a more barren, rocky terrain. Thame Pack had always been known for its rugged environment, a tough land that bred tough wolves.Chris placed a call to Alpha Baal, the leader of Thame Pack. The line b

After promising to help them rebuild their pack once the mission was completed, Chris left Thame's pack. As soon as the helicopter touched down on the familiar terrain, the sight of the Crescent Pack troops, already assembled and ready for the mission gave him hope especially after what he saw at the Thame pack. Alpha Kai was also waiting for him at the landing pad, a look of steely determination etched across his face. Chris approached him with quick strides, offering a brief nod before they clasped hands. "How did it go with Alpha Baal?" Kai asked, his voice low but firm, as they walked toward the pack’s war room.Chris exhaled. "Not good. His pack was attacked by wolf hunters just a couple of days ago. The devastation was brutal—scorched fields, burned buildings, and they lost some of their best warriors."Alpha Kai’s expression hardened. "Wolf hunters? This far north? They usually stay closer to the southern human settlements.""Yeah, they’ve gotten bold. Baal and his pack did

He reached out, resting a gentle hand on her arm. “What… what happened to you, Cassandra?”Cassandra took a shaky breath, her voice filled with shame and regret as memories rushed back, memories of the choices she had made, the paths she had chosen, and the arrogance that had blinded her. “I trusted someone,” she began, voice breaking. “A younger man. Damien stood on the edge of the field overlooking the lush greenery of parts of the pack territory. He glanced around at the pack members beginning their morning routines and took a deep breath, his mind elsewhere. It was Hank's invitation that lingered in his thoughts—a trip to South Africa, a vacation that had taken on a life of its own in his mind, fueled by encouragement from Stephanie and the children.“I think you should go," Chris had told him one evening, sensing Damien's hesitation. "You've been carrying this pack for years, barely taking a moment for yourself. Let me handle things here for a little while. I owe you that much—and more."Damien had turned to his beta, touched by Chris's words. "Chris, you know since after the whole ordeal we have faced, I planned on never stepping out of the pack for years to come”Chris gave a light chuckle, patting Damien's shoulder with a brotherly confidence. The night had quieted down slightly as the guests had left, but the heart of the pack remained. Under the glow of the moonlight, laughter and music filled the air, while the remaining pack members continued to dance and celebrate. Stephanie and Damien stood together, watching Caleb and Kayla play with the other children, their faces glowing with happiness.Suddenly, Chris approached, his arm around Zita, both of them laughing softly. “Alpha,” Chris began. “Zita and I have been talking, and we… We'd love to exchange our vows and officially become mates tonight, with all of you here to witness it. It feels right on a night like this.”Damien’s face lit up with surprise, then softened with a deep warmth. “Chris, I can’t think of a better moment. No one deserves this more than you. You’ve stood by me, through every storm and every success. It’s an honor to have you both join as mates on this special night.”Chris nodded, visibly moved, and his hand tightened around Zita’s. “Thank you, Da

I’ll wear it proudly,” she replied, clasping the pendant close to her heart.Jane approached next, holding a delicate painting of a moonlit forest scene. “It’s a reminder of home,” Jane said softly. “Those times you felt lost, but now you have gotten all you deserve because you are a good person.”Stephanie’s eyes shone with gratitude as she took the gift.

She was about to step fully into the role of Luna, something that had once seemed unimaginable. Though she had faced endless trials and tribulations, she had come full circle, returning to the place where she now felt a profound sense of belonging. In the early morning hours, she heard a gentle knock at her door. “Mom?” Caleb’s voice whispered through the door.Stephanie rose and opened the door to find Caleb standing there, looking every bit as anxious as she felt. He began to speak but kept stopping, clearly struggling to find the right words.“Mom, are you… excited?” he finally asked, his voice barely more than a whisper.Stephanie placed her hands on his shoulders. “More than you can imagine,” she replied softly. “I’m nervous too, just like you.” She squeezed his shoulders reassuringly. “But

As they settled down for breakfast, the atmosphere was light with laughter and the occasional clink of silverware. The events of the past few days felt distant, overshadowed by the warmth of family and the security of home. The children chattered excitedly about their favorite dishes, as Stephanie and Damien exchanged glances, each silently grateful for the peace they now had.Just then, Chris and Zita walked in, both of them beaming, a radiance about them that instantly caught Stephanie’s attention. “Hey! Chris laughed, nodding his thanks as he and Zita took their seats at the table, the children greeting them with enthusiastic waves and giggles.“We thought we’d pop in to see everyone before the day fully got underway,” Chris said, giving a warm smile around the table. “But truthfully, Zita and I have som

Stephanie stirred, blinking sleepily as the trauma of the previous night’s ordeal washed over her. She glanced beside her to see Damien, Kayla, and Caleb, all nestled close together, their faces peaceful in sleep. The children had insisted on sleeping with them that night, clinging to the safety and warmth they found between them after the terrifying events they'd endured. Stephanie had found no reason to say no; in fact, their closeness had provided her with a rare sense of calm.Taking a deep breath, Stephanie gently placed her hand on Damien’s shoulder, whispering his name as she brushed back the strands of hair that had fallen across his face. "Damien," she murmured softly, her voice barely audible. He blinked awake, his gaze meeting hers, still clouded with sleep.
