After promising to help them rebuild their pack once the mission was completed, Chris left Thame's pack.

As soon as the helicopter touched down on the familiar terrain, the sight of the Crescent Pack troops, already assembled and ready for the mission gave him hope especially after what he saw at the Thame pack.

Alpha Kai was also waiting for him at the landing pad, a look of steely determination etched across his face. Chris approached him with quick strides, offering a brief nod before they clasped hands.

"How did it go with Alpha Baal?" Kai asked, his voice low but firm, as they walked toward the pack’s war room.

Chris exhaled. "Not good. His pack was attacked by wolf hunters just a couple of days ago. The devastation was brutal—scorched fields, burned buildings, and they lost some of their best warriors."

Alpha Kai’s expression hardened. "Wolf hunters? This far north? They usually stay closer to the southern human settlements."
