Chapter 166

Bailey's POV

I looked at Grey as he stood at the door post. He wasn't so angry and he wasn't so happy either.

"Bailey, what was the meaning of that little stunt you pulled back there?"

His voice was stern and his eyes were a little hard as well.

"I'm sorry," I said weakly.

He didn't say anything to me, instead, he closed the door and sat beside me on the bed. There was a little space between us and I felt my heart sink. I knew he was angry with me too.

"'I'm sorry' isn't going to fix the trouble that you're in. I told you to stay away from discussions about the jewel. I told you that I and your father would handle it. But you barged into the council room and that Councilor Zeph took advantage of it to humiliate your dad. I won't lie to you Bailey, but I'm very disappointed in you."

"I'm really sorry."

I sobbed more and Grey still didn't say anything to me. He just stared at me as I cried my heart out. I managed to collect myself briefly.

"Where is dad?"

"Well, I have no idea but he is

We’re on chapter 166 and Bailey’s character hasn’t really grown . She’s either crying, getting herself in trouble.
