Chapter 167

Bailey's POV

I was so scared that I was unable to look at my dad.

"Bailey, I am very disappointed in you. How could you just rush in like that during such an important meeting. You made a fool of yourself, Grey and I."

"I'm sorry dad. I really am sorry."

My dad was silent for a while and my face dropped even lower. I could feel the tension in the air and it suddenly made breathing hard and I was all sweaty.

"You are grounded till further notice. You will go to school tomorrow and every other day, except weekends and prepare for your final exams. That is the most important thing right now and not you meddling in this war business. Let I and Grey, along with the council, handle it."

I didn't utter a single word. I didn't want to annoy him further. I actually didn't want to go to school the next day but now I had to because I was being punished. I knew it was a bid to keep me out of the pack house and away from the discussions about the war. It was fair enough.
