Chapter 174

Bailey's POV

I woke up and looked around. It was late and sky was getting darker; I wasn't even sure how long I slept.

I got out of bed and headed to the window. I looked out and saw the moon in the sky. It was just a cresent; a new moon was coming in a couple of days. The sky was gradually dotted with starts and the evening air smelled crisp. Soon, my nose picked up a familiar scent. I looked to the door and saw a shadow and it was standing just outside the door. Was it my dad? What was he doing in front of my door. Wait, my dad didn't smell like that. The shadow was there for a few minutes and soon it left. I was terrified. Who had been outside my door? I had percieved this scent somewhere before but I just couldn't place where exactly. Something about it was sinister and it made me very uncomfortable. Was someone stalking me?
