Bailey's POV

I was at my table reading. I was able to have a nap after my little rolling-out-of-bed incident. My room was quiet. I had my math textbook on my desk and my calculator and I was going over some questions on calculus.

I was still a bit sad that I still hadn't heard from Katie or Tyler but I tried to keep myself hopeful. I would see them the next day and we would sort everything out and we would be friends again. I really needed their advice and I missed their company. I had never thought that I could be so lonely before.

I continued to stare at my book and soon, there was a knock at my door. I turned my head and saw my dad coming in with a tray of meatloaf and a glass of juice. He smiled nervously and tried to act normal. I knew that he was here for more than just a dinner drop off.

"Your mum asked me to take this to you."

I smiled.

"Thanks dad."

He kept it on the dressing table and came over to my reading table. He looked at my work and patted my head gently
