I walked down the street and took a turn. I smirked as I remembered Miss Recce in the forest. That little pup knew no better. I wondered how her father would treat her little fire mishap; with sloppiness and liberty if I didn't know Recce any better.

I hated that Beta with every fibre in me. He was an arrogant piece of shit and he simply annoyed me. He was too quick to anger and he wasn't very smart, relying on braun rather than brain, which I seemed to have.

Brains which helped me recognize that Grey was no longer competent to rule the pack. If he was, he wouldn't have given the jewel away to save Recce's daughter. It was a pathetic move and it had now put the entire pack in jeopardy.
