Chapter 176

Bailey's POV

I screamed then I recognized who it was and my fear turned to anger and hate. The hand slowly withdrew from my mouth and I couldn't help the words that came out next.

"You!" I said icily.

"Hello Miss Recce."

Councilor Zeph stood behind me and was smiling dastardly. I looked at his clothing and saw that it didn't match the one of the person that had been watching me. Maybe he had changed and left it somewhere in the forest.

"You were the one that was spying on me..."

I sniffed him but I was disheartened. His scent didn't match. I was still angry at him, especially after what he said about Dad during the council meeting.

"Spying you say? Well, I actually see no reason to be spying on the daughter of such a proud nad arrogant Beta, now would I?"

I wanted to make a lunge for him but my ankle was busted up pretty badly.

"What are you doing in the forest."

He smiled sadisically and circled me slowly like I was his prey.

"No, young Miss Recce, the question is, why are you so fa
