Chapter 60

"Another vision?" The bed creaked as Martin rose and asked.

The blood drained from my face as I placed the cold glass of wine back on the table before standing up.

"No," I huffed, "Just a nightmare," Philip was the terrible nightmare I had seen tonight after seeing George and everyone.

George and I were of the same age but he was never forced into any training. He went to school whilst I was dragged away from it. Davis not only ruined my mental health but he also came between my studies.

He crushed my dreams and hopes. It wasn't just his fault.

It wasPhilip’s fault as well and that bastard was long dead.

"Come here," Martin said, lengthening his arms.

I mustered up courage and got over the bed to lay beside him. His arms curled around my body that was only covered with a thin, satin robe. I placed my head over his chest and tried to remove the terrifying images of Davis and Philip.

"What happened?"

"Just a nightmare,"

"What was it about?" His low, raspy voice was a music to my ears.
