Sun shone through the thick clouds as I made my way through the pavements of Broadway. The city was large but the population continued to overgrow because of the population of more werewolves . The morning scent of fresh, warm cakes made its way to my nostrils and I took in a deep breath.

It smelled delicious and alluring but I could not get it for myself so I stepped ahead and walked into the building.I glanced at the time - perfect. I was not late.

"I'm Clara Darwin and I'm here for the interview for the position of the marketing manager," I said to the receptionist. She nodded her head and picked up the phone resting beside her.

A few words uttered out of her mouth and then she closed the call.

"Mr. Jameson is in his office. It's on the sixth floor to the right," she responded with a smile on her face. I nodded my head and stepped inside the glass elevator that took me to the sixth floor.

The building was large but I'm was amazed. I was thankful for landing on a good interview after getting fired from my previous job. I was fired due to some problem that was created between me and my boss. It wasn't an accident as I broke his nose purposely when he tried to touch me in places I didn't want to be touched. After that, I was kicked out. It was not fair, I needed to beat the shit out of him.

I didn't regret what went down in the office last week. Mr. Aston was an evil, old man who couldn't keep his hands of young girls. He deserved what was coming in his way. That fractured nose was going to teach him something and I was glad of that. I just wished I did more damage to his body and not his face alone

As I stepped outside the elevator, I noticed something, a thick scent of a wolf - it reminded me of the wolves I came across last night. Flashes appeared in front of me as I moved around the small place. I panicked, There couldn't be a wolf here. This area of the city belonged to humans it wasn't his territory. I argued with myself.

"Ms. Clara, I was expecting you," A man's voice made its way to my ears. I turned around and faced a handsome man with bold features. A wolf. My natural instincts screamed to run out of this place at once but I required this job. It was my only last hope for survival. My bills were due and I needed to land on a job immediately or else I would be in the streets sooner than I could imagine.

I bit back my scream as the man stood tall in front of me. He was a wolf, a wolf who had chased me last night. I could remember his scent, I could smell him but he couldn't smell me as I had control over my scent. No one could.

Get a hold, Clara. I reminded myself before pushing my hand towards him.

"Mr. Jameson, it's nice to meet you finally" I said with a sharp smile, so I wouldn’t look suspicious.

"Oh, please, call me James." He shook my hand with great pressure. A strange feeling trickled down my spin and I shuddered. There was a strong aura surrounded around this man. He clearly wasn't the Alpha I was running away from. "Come in, please. I was quite impressed by your resume, you have got quite a bundle of skills!" Mr. Jameson exclaimed as he walked inside the office. The warmth of his hand on mine still lingered after he parted it away. It didn't feel the usual-maybe it was because I had never touched another wolf I hope so.

He sat on his leather chair and smiled at me warmly. "So, tell me a little more about yourself?" My CV and resume were placed in front of him yet he wanted to know more about me.

"There is nothing much, everything is stated in my resume and CV. I snapped back. My confidence disappeared as soon as I came into terms that he was a werewolf. Just last night, the man sitting in front of me was chasing me down with his brothers. The thought of it made me quiver.

Where do you come from, Ms. Clara?"

Of course. My resume only stated jobs I had done over the past six years.

There was no information about me before that. It was six years ago when I moved Broadway to start a new life as a lone-wolf. I despised my pack, my parents and my alpha - they were absolutely deeming and disgusting in every sort of way.

"'I used to live with my parents a few

years ago,"

"And where was that?" His smoothly trimmed eyebrow raised at me with suspicion. God no!. Mr. Jameson was a well-known businessman here in Broadway but it was my first time meeting him.

"Just nearby...

"Alright. It's okay if you don't want to give details but I may inform you that we are required to do a background check before employing anyone in the company. If you're comfortable with that, we can continue and I can give you the offer letter." He explained.

"Of course, I don't have any problem!" My background was clear as the ocean. Not once I had landed in prison I explained.

Mr. Jameson presented me with the offer letter stating the terms for this job. It was a marketing position with quite an impressive pay. After going through the details, I signed the letter and handed it back to him. It stated that I had to start from tomorrow but Mr. Jameson seemed to have a different date.

"I won't be here tomorrow so we can start from next Monday," Tonight was the blood moon and male wolves were known to hunt down females and claim them as their mates. I preferred staying indoors for the rest of the weekend.

"No problem!" I got up and placed my bag over my shoulder.

"I'm looking forward to seeing you on Monday then, Ms. Clara".

"You too," Mr. Jameson.

I walked out of the building then and there. I was still uncomfortable with the idea of working with a werewolf - a specific one who had tried to hunt me a couple of times but it was just for a few months. As soon as my rent and bills were covered, I would leave and look for something else. I can’t risk anything for my safety.

Mr. Jameson wasn't the problem here, it was his Alpha that I was running away from - Martin- the cruel man with extremely impressive powers. The Alpha never came out for hunting me down, he only sent his men, his warriors. They all wanted my head as they found me dangerous. It was illegal to rest on another territory and it made sense that the Alpha wanted me dead.

"Oh, fuck, no." I swallowed hard, swiping again through the pictures. One of them still had his eyes open while he was dead, his throat slashed with something similar to a claw. Certainly, this wasn't Martin’s doing. He didn't kill Alphas, let alone anyone without having a grudge against them and his way of killing people was different. "How do you know Martin killed these people?" | questioned Peace. "Because I found these pictures on his computer and some of them printed out. He had a day planner on his desk and there were names written on them." Peace stood by my side and swiped. "Alpha kelvin, killed on last Saturday." "It doesn't prove anything." I gave a shake to my head and handed back the phone to Peace who was definitely over thinking. These Alphas could've been killed by someone else and Martin loved keeping track on anything, therefore the pictures on his computer. "Clara—he has a day planner and he has jotted down an Alphas name on the fifth of next month." "Still," I

My eyes slipped open when I heard the rambling and scrambling of someone inside the room. Yawning, I pulled aside the pillow on my face and found Martin speaking to someone on the phone. He was yelling at whoever was on the other end. We fell asleep after cleaning ourselves and it was a beautiful night, at least for me. "What's wrong?" I asked as he quieted down. He raised a finger at me, his brows closing together as fury spread across your face. "This is all your fault!" He shouted at me, with a tone I never heard before. "What made you think I wanted to be here with you? God." Once he was done with fucking the sleep out of me, he stormed outside to the balcony and started speaking in another language-a language I couldn't even know he could talk in. I was still frozen on the bed, trying to take in his words. Did he just say that? He stood outside, under the sun and rambled on the phone, probably cursing. He could yell at anyone anytime but mighty, he couldn't yell at me. I g

We aren't done yet. I wanted to cry, not out of pain or anything but out of exhaustion. I knew I was done. When Martin released my hands, I turned on my back and looked into his eyes while I was still hanging somewhere in the galaxy, recovering from the pleasure. He leaned over me and bought his fingers to my lips, trailing my juices across my face. "Clean your mess." I wrapped my hand around and wrist and replied, "Gladly." I moved up and licked his fingers before lightly sucking on them all while Martin watched me with lust in his eyes. I drew his fingers out of my mouth when there was nothing left of them, nothing from my release. He moved between my legs and settled his cock at my swollen entrance. Pleasure returned to my stomach as his cock slid between my folds, lapping my juices across it's length while my hips moved towards him slowly. I bit down my bottom lip and skimmed my hands across my body before letting out a soft moan of desire. Heat collected around my pussy as

Did he not hear me? I pressed my tongue against the roof of my mouth and then clicked it in the silence. He stared at me like it was the most absurd thing I had ever said in my life. Couldn't he see it? It didn't take me long to realize that his stamina was down the drain after the honeymoon phase came to an end. "You know what I'm talking about. Maybe we should consider a sex therapist or something." I said, slowly, not wanting to be rude but it did come out as rude, definitely. I didn't know how else to put this out. "Do you know who you're talking too?" Oh no. Here came the man of the day. "Martin-I don't want to want to hurt your ego-" He didn't give me a chance to complete before taking my hand off his chest and holding my wrist. "Don't even." "Martin." My lips turned into a pout when I found him mad. I really didn't want to hurt him but rather just inform him that he wasn't doing good in bed. It wasn't a big deal, maybe but I still wanted to know the reason behind the

"Where are you taking me?" Martin asked, raising his hands to touch his blindfold. I reached out and slapped them down before returning my attention to the road. "It's a surprise. Don't ruin it!" I shouted. "What is it?" He was so eager to know about it.I had planned out an entire night out, away from the packhouse, all the meetings and Willy-he needed to separated from him for at least a night. That man was inside Martin’s pants more than I was. I never knew I would become jealous of a man, a man, who took away my man's time and strength for the most of the day, leaving him wretched at nights. Like get out, Willy. "It's a hairy bitch, happy? Shut up for a second and let me drive, we will be there in ten if you don't try to peek." I said, giving my shoulders a little shake and driving faster on the bricked, shaky roads that led to the mountains nearby. It was an hour drive to Peace’s little house at the mountains where he used to stay at when he got fed up of our parents. We ran

  • Alpha’s Obsession    Chapter 73

"You drive me crazy, mi amor." The man on the Spanish telenovela said to the woman five seconds before he slashed her throat with a blade and ended her life. After seeing all the fake, gummy blood oozing out, I pressed on the remote and switched off the TV. Peace walked in from the corner and saw me frustrated and shaking with anger. "Someone's not having a good morning." He hopped down beside me with a bundle of papers in his hand. "Don't even get me started." I rolled my eyes and took a couple of papers from him. "Are these all the names?" "Yes, all of them-2940 wolves under your ruling, all settled in Queens. Isreal should return in a week or so from his backpacking and killing trip. I just got off call with him, he asked to prepare the lawyers and the papers."Peace explained. I scurried through the names. They were so many wolves, all those had been turned into rogues as their Alphas were killed. There wasn't much description on the papers, just their name, residence, age, fam
