Lilith's POV

My heart sank as I heard his words. They had been bantering because of me. It turned out that he had told his sister about the girl he had encountered in the woods while he was hunting. Concerned for my safety in the dangerous wilderness, he had decided to bring me home for a few days. I wondered, had he also mentioned that I was pregnant?

Slowly emerging from my hiding place behind the door, I stepped into the room. Both of them were staring at me, but I couldn't bring myself to meet their gazes. With my head bowed, I walked towards them, feeling a mix of emotions.
