Lilith's POV

"He chuckled, comprehending my intention since I'd expressed it multiple times before.

"First, I'm already committed to someone you're familiar with. Second, Dad is far too mature to be your partner," he quipped with a touch of sarcasm.

"Oh, come on, I don't mind. Age is merely a number, and he still appears as youthful as you," I playfully teased.

"True, because wolves rarely show signs of aging, and when they do, it's like aging like a fine wine," he grimaced.

Giving me a gentle nudge on the shoulder, he suggested, "Since you've got some free time, and the little ones are sound asleep, how about we take a stroll in the woods?" I instantly felt a surge of excitement at the prospect.

I had spent what felt like an eternity cooped up inside this house without venturing beyond the front porch.

"That's actually a great idea, although you could have just admitted you wanted some company while hunting," we both chuckled, as my hunch was spot on.
