LOGAN’S POV

“And what does that mean?” I asked with a riddled look on my face.

Gertrude turned his head round, looking round the palace. “Alpha Logan?”

“Yes?” I answered.

“Tell me about your childhood,” he said with a serious look on his face.

I glanced at him before looking back at the trees. The rustling of the trees had started to become calmer than before. It was almost dawn now and it was just now I remembered I hadn’t slept for three days.

“Why are you suddenly asking about my childhood?” I asked while staring at him.

“Curiosity,” he said.

“Curiously?”

“Yes. You want to figure out the meaning of that riddle, don’t you?” He asked.

“Of course I want to,” I determinedly replied.

“Then provide answers to my questions no matter how weird you find them.”

“Telling you about my childhood would help with the riddle?” I asked impatiently.

“Yes,” he plainly answered.

“Ok. As rumor says, I was—”

“No, that wasn’t the answer I wanted. I don’t want answers that came out of the mouth of curious
