LOGAN’S POV

Luke and I walked through the hallway that connected my room and Amber’s room.

“So, Master, what was that about peace?” Luke asked.

“Peace?” I asked with a puzzled look on my face.

“Yes…peace. I really want to hear your definition of peace, Master.”

I glanced suspiciously at Luke.

“Why would you want to hear my definition of peace now? What’ll you do with such information?” I asked.

“No reason…I just want to hear,” Luke said with a mischievous twinkle on his eyebrows.

“I have no interest in repeating myself. I’m quite sure you heard me the first time,” I said with a straight face.

Luke scoffed as he adjusted his toothpick from one corner of his mouth to another. “Are you that shy that you can’t repeat Amber’s definition?”

“Shy? I’ve never felt such a feeling in my life! And who said that it was Amber’s definition?!” My bass voice echoed through the walls of the palace.
