Chapter Thirty

2021-10-22 06:23:00"Rex! Rex! Get up" Tristan said, standing on the bedside, gently patting Rex on the shoulder to wake him up. It was 3am in morning. And why was he up so early, it was because he was to bake the cake for Alan's birthday.
He couldn't do it alone, more like he was afraid of getting bored when baking alone and so he decided to ask for Rex's help but damn! Waking Rex up was harder than anything.
He had been trying to wake him up for like forever but the guy just won't wake up.
"Rex please wake up" Moaning, Rex turned to face Tristan, "T—Tris....." He whispered. "Yes is me. Wake up, I need your help"
Slowly, Rex opened his eyes, looking at Tristan. He then looked at the clock on the nightstand. "3:30" it said. He looked up at Tristan who was smiling at him.
"Why are you up so early?" He whispered. He wasn't fully awake. There was still traces of sleep and it was just a matter of time before he went back to sleep.
"I'm sorry for waking you up so early" A smile spread on Rex's lips as he shook his head, "Don't worry about it" Rex sat up on the bed while Tristan sat facing him.
"What do you need" Rex said, covering his mouth. He didn't want Tristan to smell his stinky mouth. "I need your help. I want to bake a cake for Alan's birthday"
"Oh, I see. Okay, I'll help you"
"Here" Tristan took out an energy drink from his pocket. The drink was in a can and it was ice cold too.
"What is it?" Rex took it and switched on the lamp on the nightstand to see what it was that Tristan handed to him. "Is an energy drink, you will need it" Rex burst out laughing, the sleep finally clearing. "You're right, I will need it. Thank you" he said to Tristan.

Tristan came into the kitchen with Rex following. Rex was sipping on the energy drink Tristan gave him. Tristan was a surprise when he found the light on.
It wasn't possible that James, or Minna, Sandy or Debby left it on while going to sleep. There was no way. They always need sure the light was off before leaving, which could only means,
"Someone is here Rex" Rex sat on the kitchen stool, placing the can on the kitchen table. "Maybe someone already woke up"
"Maybe" Tristan said, looking around. "Oh, Master Rex and Master Tristan, you're up" That was Debby's voice and.....her scent. Tristan and Rex turned to look at the door. Debby stood at the door, holding a bottle of water.
"Debby, you're up. Why? Didn't Lvan tell you I will be baking the cake?" Tristan asked. "He did" Debby replied, walking towards the stools. She took a seat beside Rex. "But I wanted to help. You can't do it all alone"
"I guess so" Tris said with a smile. "So, what will you be making?"Debby asked. "Just cake?" Rex asked. Tristan shook his head before answering, "No, I'm thinking of making coffee jelly, macaroons, cookies and..... I guess I'll tried anything that comes to mind later. Oh right, and pudding! Alan love them"
"Okay, then I will make the juices" Debby responded, "And I will help you you the cake and others" Rex added. Tristan nodded. They shared a look, smiling at each other.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!! How was he support to sleep with all those sweet smells lurking in the house. Who was it?! Who was baking?! Colten toss and turned on his bed. He couldn't smell.
Everything smelled so nice. Why? Why was the whole house smelling so nice?.
Recalling it was Alan's birthday today, he snapped his eye open. Shit! He hadn't bought anything for the kid. What an uncle he was!!
Colten immediately got off the bed in a hurry and left for the bathroom to shower.

For the first time in days, the whole family woke up early and it was all because of the smell of what was going on in the kitchen. Even the birthday boy was awake as he sat in lvan's arms. Tristan and his comrades were really outdoing themselves.
The whole house smelled so good that they couldn't help but wake up early not to forget the smiles on their faces. They couldn't help but smile as their insides felt so warmth. They felt like they were home for the first time but that was crazy because they always knew this mansion was their home. It felt like it but somehow today, it was more real than ever.
"My son really know how to do everything" Marie said, smiling at lvan. "Yes! Tris can do anything!! He's the best"
"Oh, is that so? What about me?" Lvan said, pinching Alan's cheeks. "Daddy is also the best!!"
"Oh, my cute little son" lvan hugged Alan while Alan was giggling in his father's arms.
"Happy birthday Alan" Colten said as he walked down from the stairs. All eyes went on Colten. Chris didn't want to take his eyes off Colten, hoping Colten would stare him a glance but no, none of that happened. Colten totally ignored Chris.
They watched him walk into the living room. "Thank you Uncle Colten!" Alan cheerfully said.
"Hope you're happy?" Colten stood few steps from the group in the living room. "Yes! I am very happy!! Tris and daddy wished me early in the morning together. And then they took me downstairs and granny, grandpa,Uncle Rex, Uncle Roy, Uncle Chris, Uncle Even, Uncle James, Auntie Debby, Minna and Sandy also wished me happy birthday. And now you wish me happy birthday. You are the last one" Alan said the last sentence with pouty lips.
"Okay, okay, my dear, I am sorry. Please forgive" Colten said with a smile. "Okay, fine. I forgive. But just this once okay" said the cute kid.
”I promise I won't do it again" Colten placed his hand on his heart, "Good"
"Okay, I'm leaving" Colten announced with a sad expression, Alan asked, "What about my birthday?"
"Don't worry, I'll be back before we begin the celebration, okay?" Colten asked with smile. Though unconvinced, Alan decided to trust his Uncle Colten. "Okay" Colten walked towards Alan, bowed and kissed him on the cheeks. "Good boy" he said before raising up his head and nodding at lvan. "See you alpha" Colten turned to look at the others of course, except Chris, "Everyone"
Colten turned to leave without looking at anyone. Shit! This was so frustrating! Why wasn't Colten talking to him? Why was he treating him like air?! Shit! Chris thought with an irritated look on his face. Irritated at the fact that he couldn't get the answer he wanted no one how many times he asked himself.
