Chapter Twenty Seven

"I asked if something was wrong" Lvan said, looking at Chris before sharing a look with Even. He then looked back at Chris to hear his answer.

"Is....Is nothing" Chris said, avoiding their gazes. Something was definitely. He just didn't want to talk about it.

"Oh, I see. So you don't want to talk about it" Chris looked up at them, nodding as he said, "Yes. I don't want to talk about it"

"That's okay. But.....do come to us if you want to talk about it" Lvan said. "Okay" Chris said with a smile which didn't even reach his eyes. Both Lvan and Even who gave Chris an assuring smile couldn't help but be concern. They had never seen Chris this way before. He was always all happy go life and free spirited, seeing him this way was just heart breaking.

"Oh, right, Alpha, when are you going to introduce Tristan to the pack?"

"Oh right, Am thinking of doing it today. Uh, let's see. How about 4pm?"

"Okay, I will announce after I finish with these" Even pointed at the docents in front of him. "Oh, right, I heard something when I went on a walk. It was about Tristan" Lvan looked at Even with an impatient and anxious look. While Chris was lost in his thoughts once again.

Tristan was lying down, staring at the ceiling. He just finished taking a bath and with nothing to do, he went back to bed. Damn! It was so boring. He had no one to talk to. 

Alan already left for school. The kid was so adorable, frowning and throwing tantrum. Saying he didn't want to go to school because he had to protect Tristan from enemies.

Tristan smiled at the memory. He really was blessed by the deities. He had such a good and kind son.

Sighing, he thought of Rex. He hadn't seen Rex since morning. Maybe he went out or something. Oh, right, he had a job to do. He remember Rex told him he worked for Lvan.

Rolling on the bed, he thought. What was he going to do? Lvan didn't want him out of the house. He even assigned guards to protect. At this rate, he was going to died of bored.

"Knock Knock" Tristan sat up when he heard Rex's voice and the knock at the door. A smile spread on his lips as he answer. "Please come in"

The door opened and Rex entered, smiling at Tristan. "Oh!! You don't know how happy I am to see you" 

Rex sat on the bed facing Tristan. "Lvan gave me a day off. He said I should spend time with you. He was sure you would died of bored"

"I'm sorry glad you're here. Lvan wouldn't let me go out and he even assigned me guards"

"Yeah, I saw Sebastian and Zane outside. You should understand him. You almost got kidnapped, what am I saying? You got kidnapped and the culprit is in this pack. Of course we have to be caution and you also need protection"

"I understand him Rex, but, he can't just lock me in the house like this! I want out! Out!!"

"What are you? A kid? Why are you throwing tantrum? Alan wouldn't even do that"

"He threw one just this morning" Tristan said with a 'Don't you remember' expression.

Recalling, Rex answered "Oh, right"

"Anyway, uh, I almost forgot. Lvan said there will be a pack meeting at 4pm. You are going to be introduced to the pack, congratulations"

"Oh, fucking kill me now" Tristan said and dropped himself on the bed. Rex couldn't stop laughing as he watched Tristan who was starting to get nervous.

Colten was going for a walk through the woods. He was suffocating in the house and needed some fresh air.

Sigh, too bad he was going alone. Rex already left for work and Roy also went to hook up with girls. Sebastian and the others were also working. Not to talk about Lvan and Even. 

With Chris....... He shook his head. He didn't want to think about him. The guy brought nothing but trouble to him.

"Oh, Colten?" Colten snapped out of his thoughts and turned to his left side where the voice came from. He was just outside the house, about to leave for the woods.

He watched as Corey walked towards him with a smile. Reaching him, Corey stood in from of him. "Good day"

"Good day. What are you doing here?" Colten asked, "Am here to spend time with Tristan. Orders from the alpha"

"Our alpha really love his mate, huh?" Colten said with a smirk. Corey laughed, nodding. "What about you?" He asked.

"I......Am going for a walk" Colten answered, pointing at the direction of the woods. "But the alpha doesn't want anyone going into the forest yet"

"Don't worry, nothing will happen to me. I'm a dragon remember?"

"You do know dragons also get kidnapped and killed right?" Corey said with his hands folded on his chest with a 'You do know' look on his face. Colten sighed, "I do know. And also, you're scaring me Corey"

"If you still want to go then I will go with you. Come on" Corey took the lead towards the forest. Colten smiled before following. "What about Tristan?!"

"I'll deal with the punishment later" was Corey's answer.

To exterminate bored, they decided to watch anime on Tristan's laptop. They were watching a Japanese anime, "That time I got reincarnated as a slime'

" Hey, Rex, what time is it? Shouldn't we go pick Alan up?" Tristan asked. Rex paused the anime playing and looked on his phone. "Yeah, I think we can leave now. Let's go, Sebastian and Zane will accompany us so that Lvan's mind will be at peace"

Tristan nodded "Okay" he answered with a beaming look. He was going out! He was finally going out!! Yeah!!!

"You're not a kid you know" Rex said, seeing how happy Tristan looked. He was like a kid finally getting the toy he always wanted. It was nice seeing that look on Tristan's face though.

"So, did you find out about the guy who was on duty that day?" Colten asked as they walked in the woods. "He's coming back, I heard from his mother"

"Don't you think he would need protection? Considering the people are here. What if they do something to him?"

"Yes, you're right" Corey said, nodding. Colten was right. The guy needed protection because if he ends up dead, they would never from the traitors in the pack.
